After spending 2 nights with my family (2 rooms), we were not really satisfied with this hotel.||||Positive:||* Rooms were clean, good windows, wardrobes, clean sheets and nice beds, mirror, beds, tv.||* Personal (receptionist) were nice and helpful. Girl could be more informated about things in town.||||Negative:||* Bathrooms are relatively clean, but shower was damaged and water was all around bathoroom. In both rooms. ||* Wi-Fi works sporadically (at least at second floor and few other places). Really slow and unreliable - not for work and definetely not for fun (youtube, facebook...).||* We had dinners and breakfeast here. Breakfeast was ok (poridge, melons, apples, sausages, eggs, bread, marmelades, coffee, tea...), but dinners were really awful (at least still eatable). Food with cheese are horiblle - they use the cheapest cheese which could be found on market (hence without taste), pasta was also low qualite. When we rather ordered "homemade dumplings", they were disgusting and definetelly not "homemade". Personal was "OK".||||Generaly it seems that the money are there, but not on the right place. For example in the basement can be found really nice culture hall and salt cave, but enviroment on passages and rooms would need some improvements (instead of TV working shower). But all in all, I would rather choose other choice in JH (since everything is near and it is not necessity to be in center). Parking is about 500 meters from hotel (not really close), but that isn't there fault and it's...
Read moreIt is worth to spend a day or a weekend at Jindrichuv Hradec with its superb market square and the castle full of medieval tradition. Even many Japanese do on their way from Vienna to Prague.||The two OREA objects Concertino and Grand Hotel (30 rooms) are situated directly at the medieval town square and it takes only 4 min. to the castle.||We got a very reasonable rate at the Grand, but had a wonderful dinner (game, wine) with excellent service at the more international Concertino. Try to get a room with a view to the town square at the Grand, the rooms are larger and better outfitted. Expect basic, but clean bathrooms, mostly with showers.||Grand's service staff is very busy (do not expect too much language competence), but we as well as our French neighbours finally got what we needed. Breakfast is simple, but included. They have a few parking lots in front of the Grand as well as a well accepted Budweiser beer bar.||A place not to miss, when travelling between Vienna...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible place and staff at the restaurant..spilled beer on stinky tables and the food is really bad..if you ask for a grilled salmon, you get a piece of nasty oily fish out of oil pan and even if you don't eat it and try to explain it's not possible to eat it- you still have to pay for it. Really not suitable to use the "grand" in the name!!! Avoid this place if you want to enjoy...
