Your initial port of arrival in Litomerice will probably be the Litomerice mesto train station, located southeast of the old town. Short-distance trains from Usti nad Labem and all buses from anywhere in the Czech Republic stop here. As you step out of the train station, you will be greeted by the remaining segment of bastions that formerly surrounded the old town. Looking northeast of the bastions, you cannot miss the high-rise Hotel Labe, it’s name displayed in capitals at the very top for everybody to see. Reaching the hotel from the station is only a ten-minute walk. The building surrounded by football grounds, tennis courts, recreational areas and the usual supermarket chains is a massive high-riser. Go inside and you will be greeted by a minuscule reception area placed at the corner right behind the entrance. The girl receptionist gave me a warm welcome and recommended a room on the tenth floor from where I could enjoy lovely distant views over the old town. The room was small but equipped with all necessary accoutrements and all bathroom accessories functioned perfectly. Everything was as clean as a whistle. The breakfast consisted of a cold buffet with a choice of cereals, cheeses and meats. Coffee, normal or herbal tea and hot chocolate were readily at hand. Jedním slovem KATASTROFA !!! Budova je rozdělena na ubytovnu, hotel a byty pro "asi" sociálně slabé občany. Úklid a pořádek tomu odpovídá. Špína, prach, odpadky a nedopalky jak uvnitř, tak také venku kolem hotelu. Nefunkční malá televize, vypadávající wi-fi, chybějící ledničky, žadné odkládací plochy a věšáky. Hrozné koupelny s toaletou, kam se člověk ani pořádně nevejde. V hotelové části jsou koupelny lepší, protože jsou opraveny. Teď přes léto je na pokojích strašné vedro. Větrat moc nejde, protože nejdou otevřít okna. Když otevřít jdou, tak je průvan a všechno bouchá. Navíc okna a dveře netěsní, takže z chodby do pokoje pronikají různé "pachy a smrady" z vaření a cigaretový kouř z nižších pater. I když je v celé budově zákaz kouření, tak zde plno ubytovaných kouří. Na chodbě a i v pokojích. V jednom pokoji jsem dokonce viděl propálenou kuchyňskou desku od přenosného vařiče. Není zde žádný požární žebřík nebo schodiště, nejsou zde detektory kouře, alarmy a ani hydranty. Pouze 2 hasící přístroje na každé patro. Jelikož je tu 11 pater, tak radši nechci ani pomyslet na to, co by se dělo, kdyby hořelo !!! Dále postele a matrace. Většina je asi nových ale některé matrace už jsou proležené. To ale pořád není to nejhorší. Nejhorší je to, že v posteli nespíte sami. ANO !!! V horních patrech hotelu obývají postele a pokoje ŠTĚNICE, v nižších patrech ŠVÁBI !!! Není to pouze jeden případ nebo pokoj, ale doopravdy se jedná o celá patra. Mám to potvrzeno od více hostů z dalších pokojů. Když jsem na toto upozorňoval obsluhu recepce, tak mi bylo odpovězeno, že jejich údržbář pokoj "vystříká" a vše bude v pořádku. Paní zřejmě rozumí deratizační práci. Údržbář si zřejmě vezme hasák a bude je jednotlivě mlátit hlava nehlava. Samozřejmě, že se všichni brouci rozutekli po všech okolních pokojích. Takže, jak tady napsal pan Szabo přede mnou "ale aspoň nejste sami" Nebezpečí nehrozí pouze uvnitř hotelu ale také venku. Nikdy nevíte co vám přistane na hlavě. V lepším případě zbytky jídla, nedopalky nebo odpadky, v tom horším betonové kusy odpadávající z budovy. Aspoň 1 hvězdičku dávám za hezký výhled na město a občas...

Nach einer leicht stressigen Anfahrt kamen wir Hotel an und wurden damit empfangen dass unser Auto erst einmal umgeparkt werden müsse. Ohne eine große Begrüßung bekamen wir einen Schlüssel für ein Zimmer im 11. Stock. Nachfragen meinerseits ob es kein Zimmer weiter unten geben würde, wurde beneint. als hier im Zimmer ankamen waren da ich zwei Einzelbetten, aber wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer gebucht. also 11 Etagen wieder nach unten und einen neuen Zimmer Schlüssel bekommen. nun hatten wir ein Dreibettzimmer aber ein Doppelbett war ja dabei deswegen wollten wir uns nicht weiter beschweren. der Balkon wenn man es so nennen darf war kaum betretbar und völlig mit Vogelkot bedeckt. die Einrichtungwar sehr antik um es nett auszudrücken. Toilette und Bad waren getrennt was ich positiv bewerten muss. aber die Dusche war nichts für Menschen über 1,50m. die Waschbecken waren sehr klein und auch nicht für größere Menschen gemacht aber es gab ein Stück Seife. das schlafen ging einigermaßen auf den so genannten Betten. bis auf die Fahrstuhl Geräusche konnte man nachts sehr gut schlafen. die Rezeption war immer besetzt und man wurde freundlich empfangen. die Mitarbeiterin ich sprach auch einigermaßen gut deutsch. Aber von ausflugsempfehlungen oder ticketreservierungen war keine Rede, wie es in der Beschreibung stand. das einzige was man bekam war ein Stadtplan. positiv zu bemerken ist natürlich noch die hervorragende Aussicht. das Frühstück war ganz erträglich.
