Hotel Biograf — Hotel in okres Písek

I happened to pick this hotel in desperation, as our favorite hotel, Hotel u Kaplicky, almost doubled the price per room from last year at the time I was looking. What a lucky draw this was. This hotel is right in the center of Pisek, with plenty of street parking around - on Saturday afternoons and Sundays the parking is free. The famous bridge, museum, and many restaurants are just minutes walking away. The lady at the hotel reception was very pleasant and welcoming, elevator took us to our room which was ready exactly as we requested. A large room, clean and fresh smelling even though pets are welcomed here (I was a little hesitant after reading the description) with a small fridge and a good size bathroom, huge tub, hairdryer and free toiletries. We requested air-conditioned room, however, we did not have time to test this as the weather had turned cold and rainy, and instead a welcoming heat was on. Incredible breakfast buffet is included with practically everything one would want with a chef standing by to fulfill any further needs. Very impressive! We will be in Pisek again next year, and I will be definitely looking forward to...

I have mostly positive impressions about this hotel. First of all personnel is friendly and speak good english. Tasty breakfast! Excellent Finnish sauna! Unfortunately there is no gym. |The view to the church. My room on second floor of old part of the hotel was big and had quite good ventilation. 2 single beds could be put together in case. Fridge, safe, tv well...tv was slightly younger than the hotel. Does Not matter actually. Good shower. Beds were comfortable. Glasses for water have never been changed/cleaned during 4 night stay... some minor stains on towels, but in general the room was clean. Location in the centre of old town, around can find market, atm, church, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Be aware that food is served only till...
