What an absolute disappointment, we booked through a third party as we’re visiting a few countries. Thankfully it was a short stay.||We’re not usually ones to complain as long as the room is clean we will make do as we see it as a place to sleep at night but I’d advise anyone to avoid like the plague.||Firstly we booked a double room and we were given a twin room and when we asked at the reception we were told there are no double rooms (advertised on their website) and were told to push the beds together.||The room was incredibly basic and filthy, I have seen public toilets cleaner than the bathroom. The bedding was stained and the pillows and duvets had seen better days and had stains on what I don’t even want to think about.||Carpets were threadbare and had stains and burn marks all over. The armchair was fit for the tip and needed a biohazard warning and was torn. One of the beds was broken and had loose wood at the foot of the bed.||The bathroom needed a good scrub and re- grouting and the floor had pubic hairs and other gross bits on. ||There was no tv (advertised) in the room but we never watch one whilst we’re away as we play games. It did have a safe which was a plus side.||The shower was hot and powerful but didn’t stay in its holder and sprayed the bathroom so you had to hold it, which isn’t the end of the world.||Our room was situated on the road and was noisy. ||I didn’t sleep well and woke up itching and had to take antihistamine as I had bites.||Unfriendly staff who were rude and unhelpful.||There is a shell garage were you can purchase hot drinks and an Albert supermarket 5 minutes walk away for cheap food and drink. ||I sent my photos to my daughter who’s a student and she likened it to the worst kind of dodgy student...
Read moreI’ve been in hotels all over America & in over 40 other countries. This hotel is definitely in top 5 worst hotels I’ve ever stayed over the past 40+ years.||I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. Reception staff are rude, miserable & unprofessional. They don’t great guests, they never say hello to guests when you walk by them, they dress like slobs (jeans & t-shirts with no name badges, and they always look extremely unhappy). Also, none of the hotel staff wears face masks which is required by Czech law.||They have big lobby/reception area with nice seating area but they never turn on any lights, so the whole lobby area is pitch dark. It always looks like the hotel is shut down, especially since they also never turn on the hotel’s outside signage at night. They only have wifi in lobby/reception area. Mattresses are like sleeping on boards. Horrible very little lighting in rooms. The bathtub is only big enough for a 10- year old child.||Sitting in the lobby area for few hours everyday ( to use internet), I witnessed hotel staff on several occasions coughing & sneezing without covering their mouths and/noses. Housekeeping leaves huge bags of trash sitting in the lobby area for a few hours at a time. Housekeeping leaves the housekeeping carts & mops and buckets sitting in the hallways for hours at a time (when they aren’t even cleaning rooms in that particular hallway.||This hotel isn’t convenient to anything. There’s one grocery store about 350 meters from the hotel. But not near restaurants, shops, or public transport. You have to walk 1.6 kilometers/1 mile to the nearest tram stop.||The only redeeming thing was the bathtub/shower had good hot water & water pressure.||Lastly, check out time is 10:00 am,...
Read moreWe arrived late at night and had booked a double room. We asked the night shift receptionist to confirm double bed, he confirmed this. He was struggling to read and register one of our passports and asked to keep the passport to the next day. I never ever leave my passport with any other than my family and absolutely no strangers. He was clearly offended by my answer and commanded me down in the reception the next day. The room was like going into an institution for the elderly with old carpets, boring colours and plain walls, it was not a double bed, but a twin bedroom. We went down to the reception to get a new room and was told we are fully booked and no other rooms available, but we could just put the beds together and get a double bed. Not the same. Breakfast is included in our booking, of I had to pay for that breakfast I would have demanded a refund, it was a really bad breakfast, dry bread and not much other than ham and cheese to put on. We came back late and asked to buy something from the reception but the night watch did not have the key to open the fridge or the cabinet. That's strange, should it not be in the best interest of the hotel to sell things and not make us go over to the gas station to buy a bottle of wine and beer?||If this had been another time then New Years' eve weekend I would have left and booked us another hotel.||Note that the bathroom didn't have any drain and was flooded after...
