Lampičky restaurant — Restaurant in Prague

Came here by an accident with my friend for dinner as it is was in close proximity. The restaurant seemed to have a nice summer garden in the front, but we agreed that we would certainly not recommend it as the cuisine is really bad.

We ordered two burgers and soft drinks, but the food was of a really poor quality and tasted bad - probably the worst burger in our lives (and yes, boy do we love burgers) - the buns were dry and hard, the meat seemed of an inferior quality and it was very oily, there was no blue cheese in a blue cheese burger (instead there was a slide of tangerine?) and a coleslaw salad just tasted awful (yuck!!) - overall, not appetizing at all and we were forced to leave most of the food though we were hungry. Also, a home made lemonade was just made out of powder, which was really outraging (its price was 49czk, but I bet the costs to make it were 2czk max).

Surprisingly, the interior seemed quite nice, but don't let that mislead you - the food is just really below standards and extremely overpriced for what you get. It seems that the management is trying to make money on using very poor quality ingredients thinking the customers would not notice (and saying they are homemade when they are not), but still charging prices worth of a proper restaurant. Yesterday we went to this bar after playing football because it was next to the pitch. We got in and seated down around a empty table apparently with no problem. Several minutes later, the person in charge, a ginger woman, came up to us with a reservation sign and told us we couldn´t be there. Obviusly we knew nobody reserved any table there (it was 10 pm and the kitchens are already close at this time). So some of us left the place and other some started to ask her for a reason. She didn´t even want to talk to us and started to talked in Czech so one of us asked her in Czech something like: is this because we are foreingers? The waitress, not the ginger one, directly bowed the head and she started to shout in Czech, so we left obviusly. To finish this story, obviusly we went to the bar next to this one to have 1 beer as we always do and when we finished(20 minutes after the we argued with this woman) we passed by this bar again and what my surprise was that the tables which she made us leave were empty (also the rest of the bar). I had few burgers in this place, the classical one and farmers burger. I liked the second one the most, however, no fresh tomatoes and cucumber inside. I had burgers with 150g meat and 250g, my recommendation is to not take 250g and have a smaller burger, because with bigger cutlet you will good poorly cooked meat and you won’t like it. Also I’ve tried strips and wings. I liked the sauce that I got with the meal, it was really tasty. Meal itself was just simple, not bad and not awesome. Fries are just average, sometimes they are oversalted and i would abstain with fries. Malinovka was not that great. Service is average, sometimes they don’t pay much attention on you.
