Želva beers & burgers — Restaurant in Prague

(*Czech/English Menus & English Speaking Staff!!!) Entering in a state ravenous starvation... and exiting in gluttonous euphoria! My choice was one of convenience...however, the hand of God was (obviously) guiding my path! I am a nit-picker, and the first point out the not so positive aspects of my experiences. This level of brutal honestly has periodically been negative attribute. HAVE NO FEAR...only praise for this establishment! The esthetics, impeccable service, immaculate level of cleanliness (EVERY SURFACE- THE OPEN KITCHEN LOOKES AS IF IT IS STAGED!!! KUDOS CHEF!!!), creative interpretations of the classics we ALL KNOW & LOVE...YES...YES...YES! Gordon Ramsay would be proud! The menu is simple, yet diverse! Every item is the best you have ever have! Seriously...hand dipped- beer battered-onion rings (to order) and the master of all chips! The quality of the beef is off the charts-cooked to your exact specifications (...what is this magical seasoning mix!?!). Let's not forget the importance of a proper bun...yep...they did that right as well! Drown this goodness with a "beer du jour"...while taking in some killer tunes! I felt as if I needed to be rolled out the door- in the fashion of Violet from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory!!! We will be regular...

I've lived in Prague for years but have never experienced any thing like this before. Do you like waiting one hour and 20 minutes for a burger? Do you like getting your order after the tables that arrived after you? Do you like getting a dry flavorless burger when you asked for medium rare? Do you like getting your side after you're 3/4 way done your burger? Then please come to this burger spot. I used to be a weekly visitor here but after this experience I'm never coming back. Our waitress blamed the whole ordeal on a large party that arrived which is the most ridiculous excuse I've ever heard. Two tables came after us and yet they still got their food before us. What is the point of making a reservation when you're just going to serve whoever comes after you first? Burger was the driest piece of meat I ever had. Why bother asking if I want it medium-rare when you're going to cook it dry anyway? Truly the most disappointing...

If i would need to describe the bad service attitude "Zelva Burger" always comes to my mind as first option. -They accept only cash -There is never vacant table, they are always all "booked" so no chance you can eat there without reservation in advance -The restaurant is too small -French fries i ordered yesterday were extremely dry and not tasty at all -Burgers are not that tasty -Cheese souse for fries was not salty and just reminded me tvaroh with water

My yesterdays dialog with the waiter: Hi, can i please ask for (desitka) 10 beer? we don't have it and what do you have? -please check menu on the wall (which is weird offer when you are a waiter) (i checked menu on the wall and see Psenicne beer) Can i ask for Psenicne beer? we don't have it...

so i can't say there is friendly service, i can't say the food is tasty and if you have not prepared cash in advance you would need to run somewhere...
