My Hotel Apollon — Hotel in Prague

I have spent countless nights and money in this hotel, nevertheless I have a great reason to never stay here again in my life. ||Unfortunately -I had a large black travel bag stolen at the Apollon Hotel. ||All happened when I had a car accident and had to stay in the hospital and couldn´t pick up my personal things in the hotel. Therefore I called to the reception and asked for keeping my bag until I will be able to come to pick it up.||However - 3 weeks later when I came to the hotel they told me there was no bag!||On 11.7. 2023, when I had to stay at Apollon, at the reception at about 8:20 pm, to my great surprise my passport was returned to me, which was in the stolen bag in a Gucci wallet for 20 000 Kc, which was originally at the bottom of my large black bag, under the clothes. I asked the receptionist where is the large black bag in which my passport was, she said she did not know! What a mystery..||Things that were inside the bag :||Gucci wallet which contained my passport 20 000 Kc, Watch 30 000 Kc, Calvin Klein tracksuit 8 000 Kc, Calvin Klein shoes 3 000 Kc, Calvin Klein T-shirts 4000 Kc, Guess 2x Crossbody 5000 Kc, Emporio Armani slippers 1 500 Kc, Jacket 2x 10 000 Kc, Jacket 2x 10 000 Kc, 5x shirt 5000 Kc, Shorts 3000 Kc, Shaver 2000 Kc, Gucci perfume and cosmetics 6 000 Kc, Large black bag 2000 Kc.||In total The Apollon Hotel caused me 84,500 CZK worth of damage!||How can something like this happen to a guest who regularly brings money to this hotel ?!||I am asking the owner/management of this hotel for explaining all this to me and of course for compensation.||Thank you, ||Michael Mann,...

A convenient hotel in Prague city. Well connected to the Florenc Bus station and the Central station. Check-in was fine and quick. Pre-checking online was easy too. The room was bigger than I expected and booked. A single room was booked but I received a triple bedroom. The next day I booked the breakfast additionally which was ok but not worth it for CZK 240. Just apples as fresh fruit and no healthy wholegrain bread. No milk alternatives (Oat, Almond), Coffee was simple but there were two kinds of juices and one lemon water. After breakfast, the electronic key did not work anymore after returning to my room. I had to ask in the lobby for new programming. I also asked for a kettle which they immediately provides to me. The young woman at the reception was friendly and helpful. However, the managing lady in the background was talking to her in an unfriendly and stressed way and was interrupting her when she was speaking to me. Very unprofessional. Later on I realised the the built-in hair dryer in the bathroom was broken. I contacted another lady at the reception and she brought me another hair dryer but she was not interested to see what was broken, even I explained that it is kind of dangerous (danger of fire). Because it got very cold and rainy outside, I turned on the heaters but none of them worked. I tried the AC for heating the room but only cooling was possible. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Prague and well connected to the city by trams. Its worth it for a 3* hotel and pricing was also acceptable for the room...

We paid via agoda about 65 per night (booking .com 68) without breakfast which we could have got better offers on other hotels of higher grade with breakfast. The receptionist was okay doing her job but , the check in was a bit difficult as they asked us for our passports even after showing our EU residence permits , and they insisted everyone must show passports even after I, the main person( who paid with Card) has provided mine to them. Reasons they gave was due to not being EU citizens n police records as part of their policy but I asked them why it's not on the website at least (seemed like BS to me). The breakfast was just there, nothing much displayed so I chose to eat outside. The room was Okay and clean, sometimes the internet goes off and on. One thing I liked was the TV had Netflix which was consoling and better than most 5* hotels hence I gave 2stars to facilities. It was also quiet which is good too. I had to buy my bath gel because the tablet of soaps there could only wash my hands. The hotel is good for only half the price I paid in my opinion.

Location is good; not far from the tram station, and close to restaurants , cafe and supermarkets...
