Golden City Hotel Garni — Hotel in Prague

We were tourists from India and family of 4. We chose the attic room no. 43. Excellent location, trams stop just next to the hotel. Albert supermarket at walking distance.

Rooms are good. Ac, Good wifi, heating , electric kettle, comfortable beds, clean bathroom. We didn't use the TV and AC. The heating has to be requested to turn on. Our bathroom didnt have a lock but on request the receptionist arranged it. There is no view from the attic windows except for the sky. The roof slopes so you will bump your head if not careful.

The receptionist ladies were friendly and helpful. The best thing is you dont need to go anywhere to change money. They do at the reception and charge 4% commission and the rates are quite good. We changed our money a few times as its the most reliable and convenient option. We also bought our tram tickets from them at market rate.

The breakfast is good. Although not much changed in the breakfast in the 9 days we stayed but the spread was enough for us. We dont eat raw meat or pork. Would have preferred some chicken or more veg options. Coffee was ok. Its not very strong but still good. We requested for early breakfast on 2 days as we had early morning train and they did start by 7 am which was great! Almost everything was ready by 7.

Egg melange is kept everyday. Although i prefer scrambled egg but it was not there. The juices are very watery. Would suggest to keep some real juice. The dining area has lot of seats and gets almost full. Our room was on the 4th floor and the lift was working properly.

They also arranged an early morning taxi for our last day in Prague. Overall experience was quite pleasant...

Wonderful Stay at Golden City Hotel Garni

I recently stayed at Golden City Hotel Garni in Žižkov, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.

The breakfast served at the hotel was fantastic. There was a wide variety of options, all fresh and delicious, ensuring a great start to each day. The breakfast area was also clean and well-organized, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience.

In summary, my stay at Golden City Hotel Garni was wonderful. The combination of clean rooms, friendly staff, and a great breakfast makes it a perfect choice for anyone visiting Žižkov. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future.

The staff were lovely and friendly when we arrived - spoke English so we understood everything very well! Our double room was nice and clean, it consisted of one double bed and a single bed, a television, a small desk and chairs, a refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle (but no tea or coffee)! The bathroom was clean and shower was fine. Our room faced the tram line so there was a slight hum of the tram as they passed, but good access into the centre of Prague. The breakfast was a great spread including, a tea and coffee machine, a toaster, fruits, a variety of breads and sweet items, several cereals, a selection of cheeses, hams, and salads, sausages, and a vegetable omelette! Jugs of water and juices were provided as well and soup was provided too - it differed on each day as some days it was mushroom soup, on others it was lentil. Also to add, several leaflets for attractions and information about Prague were situated in reception for tourists and visitors. On our final day before our flight, the staff allowed us to leave our luggage and collect it later...
