This review is not about the quality of the food, which I found amazing! It's more about the service and the feeling of being scamed by one of the waiters. In particular one named Ondrej. We ordered the ravioli (amazing) and the prawns salad from the starters, our waiter Ondrej recommended to take the main dish, the tiger prawns which is bigger and way more expensive. We kindly said no, because we were thinking about eating a delicious dessert after that. We explicitly said the starter. When we ordered the drinks I asked for the home made lemonade (you can see in the menu that is around 75 crowns) and again dear Ondrej said if I wanted the citrus lemonade and I said no, I wanted the homemade one. I just want to clarify that this was not a language mistake. The menu is written in English and I showed him exactly the drink that I was ordering. Time later Ondrej arrived with our drinks. A really nice lemonade (but how do you expect me to know how my lemonade is supposed to look like). And soon enough we got our food. Amazing, the taste and texture, awesome chef. But, we were surprised that the starter was actually quite big, again, how do you expect us to know how our food is supposed to look like. After we paid (and this was our mistake), we noticed that he actually got the main dish "tiger prawns" and the citrus lemonade, funny, because it was exactly both of the things he asked twice and we showed him from the menu what we wanted. When we asked him about it, he looked confused and asked if the quality was OK... Of course it was OK, it was great, but it's not what I ordered!!!!! Honestly, this feel like a scam, and I will make sure to share this review in social media and with my friends in Prague, or at least I'll make sure next time I get a different waiter. Such a bad experience in such a...

Unique tower with stunning panoramic views The Žižkov Television Tower is a polarizing landmark in Prague. Its Brutalist architecture stands out dramatically against the city's historic skyline. Some find it unattractive, while others appreciate its unique character. Regardless of your taste in architecture, the tower offers the most comprehensive vista of Prague.

Highlights:

Breathtaking panoramic views: The observation deck provides a 360-degree view of Prague, encompassing all its major landmarks.

Controversial art installation: The tower is adorned with sculptures of giant babies crawling up its side by artist David Černý. These sculptures are a conversation starter, to say the least.

Modern amenities: The observation deck has recently undergone renovations and offers a comfortable space to enjoy the view.

Things to consider:

Ticket price: Entry to the observation deck can be a bit pricey, especially considering there's not much else to do besides taking in the view. But if you have a reservation for the restaurant entry is free.

Distance from city center: The tower is located outside the city center, so factor in travel time if you're staying there. It is about £5 by Uber from the centre of town.

The restaurant has been newly renovated: As of June 2024, the restaurant at the top of the tower has had a full renovation, so a great location for a fancy meal with a view.

Overall:

The Žižkov Television Tower is a must-visit for anyone who wants to see Prague from a different perspective. The views are unbeatable, and the tower itself is an interesting piece of architecture. However, be aware of the ticket price and potential limitations...

The Žižkov TV Tower in Prague is a striking piece of architecture—tall, futuristic, and hard to miss. While the ticket price feels a bit steep for what’s offered inside, the tower itself is impressive from an engineering and artistic standpoint. The surreal sculptures of babies climbing the tower, created by Czech artist David Černý. They add a quirky, creative touch to an otherwise industrial-looking structure. Inside, the tower offers several viewing platforms with panoramic views of Prague. On a clear day, you can see far across the city’s rooftops and landmarks. The viewing areas are spacious and well-designed, making it easy to take photos or simply enjoy the scenery. Plenty of Parking: Easy access if you're driving, with ample space nearby. Kid-Friendly outdoor area, There’s a mini-golf course and open space around the tower where children can play. There are Restaurant & Café for a quick refreshment or meal. Tips for Travelers

Ticket Value: The entry fee feels high for what’s offered—consider visiting during off-peak hours or combining it with other nearby attractions. No Restrooms at the Top: Plan ahead, especially if visiting with kids or elderly family members. Best for Clear Days: The views are much more rewarding when the weather is good—check the forecast...

Prague in a snap. ✨SAVE LIST for your next trip✨ 🫰🇨🇿🏰🚃🌇 I’m in Prague after nearly a decade and a half! This is my first time back in the Czech Republic, since I lived here in 2008 to 2010, and it’s as wonderful as I left it. In fact, it’s been even better, since we are staying at the opulent @andazprague, which has made our trip even more enjoyable. It’s Prague’s first 5-star luxury lifestyle hotel in the iconic Sugar Palace, blending local heritage with modern art… I couldn’t have asked for a better “home” during my time back. Visiting all my favorite spots reminded of how much I loved living in this magical city. In honor, I’ve complied a list of must see spots to visit including every location shown in the reel above… which are all super accessible from Andaz Prague: 🔸 Old Town Square ⚜️ Charles Bridge 🔸 Prague Castle ⚜️ Prague Astronomical Clock 🔸 St. Vitus Cathedral ⚜️ Park Cihelna on banks of Vltava 🔸 Pařížská street ⚜️ Baroque Library 🔸 Terasa u Prince ⚜️ Clementinum Astronomical Tower 🔸 Dancing House ⚜️ Mucha Museum 🔸 Josefov ⚜️ Vyšehrad 🔸 Petřín Hill ⚜️ Lennon Wall 🔸 Kampa Island ⚜️ Strahov Library 🔸 Prague National Theatre ⚜️ Vojan Gardens 🔸 Wenceslas Square ⚜️ Letná Park 🔸 Golden Lane ⚜️ Wallenstein Garden 🔸 Náplavka ⚜️ Prague’s Cubist Buildings 🔸 Žižkov Television Tower ⚜️ Lillith sculpture in Karlin district 🔸 Garden on the Ramparts View ⚜️ Old Castle Stairs Have you been to any of these spots?
