We booked this hotel for 5 nights for our stay in Prague.
We got to the hotel after 10 pm and the night receptionist walked us through the check-in process. We were informed we had to pay an extra €20 for the tourist tax for both of us, which is becoming more and more common.
Upon finishing that, we were given the keycards and given instructions on how to get to our room. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so we took the elevator.
Once in the room, we realised that the ventilation system could not be adjusted. My wife phoned the reception and she was told we needed to open the window and that would make it stop. We did that, but the ventilation kept going. She rung again and this time she was told the ventilation cannot be stopped or the temperature adjusted. We found it extremely odd, as each room must have a thermostat, so we wouldn't change the temperature in all the rooms. After a couple of calls, the receptionist agreed to send someone to our room the next day to turn it off.
We had breakfast included for all mornings,as we thought it would be better given that we were in a new unfamiliar city. However, we were quite disappointed with the variety of food offered. The food was 95% the same every morning and after a couple of days, we started to resent it, but still went to have it as we had paid for it. The juices they had on offer from the dispenser felt diluted with water.
We also discovered that the there was a construction site right in front of our balcony and the works were starting around 8am. We tried closing the doors and pulling the curtains, but because of how close we were to it, it didn't have any effect. When we booked this hotel, we paid extra to have the balcony and we couldn't use it at all. However, one of the cleaning crew from the hotel made full use of it by smoking a cigarette there and not even bothering to throw the cigarette butt away.
One day before check out, we mentioned all these issues to the manager and he said he'll personally look into what can be done to make us happy.
At the checkout, they mentioned that they'll reimburse us some of the money we paid for the booking. We gave them our banking details and they said the money should be in our account in a few days. A week has passed and we're still waiting.
The hotel is ok for a short stay and it has good transport links, however they need to work on some of...
Read moreStunning spanking new hotel, superbly done neo-new Art Deco Modernistic interiors situated in a terrific location, that's easy to get to the trams and, for me, my work place. A word of caution, this is a new hotel by (apparently) an owner too eager to make up for the COVID losses by wanting to hit the market with a product, that, yet, isn't perfected.
During my stay, the elevators weren't working, and what's more entertaining was the response i got - "take the stairs".... as if my gym instructor was manning the front desk(!). Another classic response, "...Yes, we know"...(!)...(....and now go screw yourself

Upon arrival, I found only two singles pushed together. Despite repeated discussions, the hotel showed little interest in resolving the issue, leading to my early checkout.
The hotel does have a few positive aspects worth noting though. Located in the Žižkov district, it provides easy access to public transportation, making it simple to reach Prague’s main attractions. The modern decor and cozy bar, along with a well-kept courtyard, create an inviting atmosphere. Rooms are generally clean and feature contemporary furnishings and essential amenities, offering a good level of comfort.
The breakfast is quite decent, though served in a somewhat cramped room. The staff members, in general, are very professional and courteous individually, though there is a noticeable lack of collective responsibility at the reception level.
That said, the promised large double bed never materialised indeed. Despite confirming my request in writing, the room only had two singles placed together, with a thin mattress topper offered as a "solution" only after three nights—well below what was promised and expected.
They kicked the issue down the road for as long as they could, which wasted my time and patience and left me even more frustrated. While I was disappointed by the experience, I appreciate that the hotel ultimately approved a refund, which...
