It's a shame that it's not maintained, because the place has really great potential. Pros: The house itself was pretty cute and cosy. Even though it got really hot during the day, because there was no air conditioning, the small fan that was provided, kept us somewhat cool. It was quite clean, we had everything we needed and there were a lot of bottled waters(because the water from the pipe isn't drinkable.). We only ate breakfast here, but if you are planning to cook, i would suggest that you bring your own pot, because there is only one and it's kind of small. The tram stop is 3 min from the house and tram ride was 25 min. So it wasn't that far from the city centre. The owner was nice and responsive. The wifi is quick. Cons: The first thing you see is a garden, that leaves a lasting impression. This impression however, isn't positive. There are piles of dirt, some old sunbeds, wooden planks, tubes and trash spread over the garden. Then there are some flags tied to trees(for decoration?), but they only make things worse. So when you are on property, it's better to just stay in the house. It wouldn't be such a big problem, if it wasn't in the name:"Prague retro challenge and GARDEN". The bathroom:The showers didn't work for the first two days, because the water comes from the well(which is filled by rain). And the toilet wasn't fixed to the floor very well, so it was moving. The pipes in the bathroom are just hanging on the walls, to the point of actually being used to hold toilet paper. The sink was very small so it was difficult to wash the dishes. The mirror is a size of a hand mirror, so it doesn't serve much purpose. The walls are very thin so you hear every noise your...
Read moreThe apartments, more like sheds turned into apartments, have some positives and negatives. The price is okay for what it is in comparison to other hostels/ hotels in Prague. Also parking wasnt a problem since there was plenty of room on the street. The location, although at first glance seems far from the centre, really isnt so bad (only a 20 min ride with the tram to the centre).
However, there were some negative factors that impacted our stay: Firstly the garden is poorly kept and has random wooden slates stored on the sides. Our apartment looked quite cosy at first but at a closer look there were some parts that were bit off putting like the hole in our sheets and the extremely thin walls so you can here everything your neighbours are talking about/doing/snoring/going to the toilet ect. Also i wouldn’t say it was very clean - def could be cleaner. Furthermore the bathroom is small and awkward. Although there was a heater provided i can’t really imagine staying here in winter since there is NO insulation.....
Masa pajęczyn i pająki.
