Hotel Cataleya Bavaro — Hotel in Higüey

I had a lovely experience with this hotel. The administration and kitchen staff were friendly and caring. The room was very big, we chose the biggest room. It was a good size for a family or 4 people sharing it with a king size bed and a queen bed. It was clean and close to really good restaurants. I felt very safe and taken care of. There's a lot of noise at about midnight because of the bars around there but I wore earplugs and it was over by 1am or so. The Beach is a little far by walking, we drove but I'm sure there's a way to access. I just never explored around much. We had a traditional Dominican breakfast every morning with a lovely Dominican coffee. We thought it was worth to stay if you're exploring Punta Cana and Cap Cana. Great parking in the back street. It was safe too. The signs outside says The Garden Hotel Bavaro, not Cataleya. That's why it's hard to find. I think it changed...

Había hecho una reserva para un cuarto hotel a través del sitio web de Expedia porque el precio era competitivo y la ubicación del hotel era buena. También vi el mismo precio en trip.com pero no conozco bien el sitio, usé Expedia. Reservo y a las 2 horas me escribe el hotel diciéndome que el precio en Expedia estaba mal y que si quería dormir allí tenía que pagar más. Había elegido este hotel porque tenía muy buena relación calidad-precio pero con esta sorpresa hubiera pagado más del doble. Intenté hacerle entender al hotel que el precio era el mismo en todas las plataformas pero me respondieron que si no pago no puedo dormir allí y además que el hotel hace lo que quiere. Vergonzoso es la palabra correcta, una pena, me siento engañado. Cuidado con este hotel, mantente alejado...

Reserva feita pelo decolar paga no cartão de crédito mas ao chegar no hotel proprietário nos cobrou mais 8 dólares extras, alegando que faltava para complementar. Também constava café da manhã e não tinha no local, tentam cobrar algo a mais por fora...
