La Rumba de Samaná on a Wednesday night was disappointing! The place is clean and the person that waited on us was pleasant but the food remains to be desired. The appetizer we ordered was guacamole with chips gut they didn’t have the guacamole so they offered a substitute of pico de gallo and a garlic based sauce with tortillas and fried plantain chips. It didn’t do anything for my palate. Then here comes the entrees.My companion order the brochettas of Shrimp and I ordered the wings (6)… I’m glad I only ordered six and no twelve. I wanted the buffalo sauce but they didn’t have that so they gave me a mix of bbq sauce and hot sauce and drenched the wings in the sauce. The wings obviously were parboiled and they didn’t have the physical structure of wings. They were bland and you could tell from the taste that they were dipped in old grease. They were accompanied with fries that looked like they had been fried and then refried. I politely told the waiter I didn’t want the fries. Now for the shrimp plate. Nice place but don’t expect them to have what their menu says. When I came no guacamole and substituted it with pico de gallo which I was ok with. But the amount of pico de gallo served was barely enough to over half the chips included. Felt like we were rationing the pico de gallo as if our life depended on it. The mofongo de chicharon tasted good but the chicharon was gummy as if you were chewing gum. The few pieces that were crunchy were too hard to bite down on. The fajitas again no guacamole and the replacement left you wanting more not because it was so good it blows your mind but because there wasn’t enough of it. I...

The worst food experience I've had in a very long time. The facilities were not bad, however there was no electricity and my wife was told by the waiter to use the flashlight in her phone to use the bathroom. Full of flies and no AC or fans, made everything more difficult.

But where things went south was with the food. We ordered guacamole with chips and the guac looked gray, like it was prepared at least a month ago and put in the fridge. The plantain chips were old and not crispy at all. The main courses were no better. My daughters ordered chicken fingers and it had more breading than actual chicken, my wife's mofongo was actually a mangu and my platter had all sorts of old food with nasty taste.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place. La peor experiencia en un restaurante en un largo tiempo. El restaurante no se ve mal, aunque no habia luz y el mesero le dijo a mi esposa que usara el foco de su cellular para usar bano. El sitio estaba lleno de moscas, sin aire acondicionado y sin abanicos, todo eso lo hizo mas dificil.

Pero donde las cosas fueron mal de verdad fuel con la comida. Ordenamos guacamole con platanitos y el guacamole estaba gris, parace que lo prepararon hace mas de un mes y lo pusieron en la nevera. Los platanitos estaban viejos y nada crocantes. Los platos fuertes fueron aun peor. Mis hijas ordenaron pechurinas y tenia mas empanizado que pollo, el mofongo de mi esposa realmente era un mangu y mi plato tenia una serie de comida vieja con un sabor asqueroso.
