Hotel La Chimenea “ Casa de Piedad “ — Hotel in Baños de Agua Santa

Delightful stay at Chimenea hostal with kind owners Marcia and Carlos. I would 100% stay again, as service felt like a priority from the moment we entered. We were treated with kindness, fresh towels, and a smile. The hostal also charged us less than what we assumed the price was. We LOVED the waterfall view from the balcony in the room. The steam baths with personal treatment from Carlos and the comfy large beds.

Hot showers, relaxing areas around the pool, and cheap breakfast prices.

One thing I suggest is to bring your ear plugs as the walls are pretty thin. You can hear a lot in the night! Also, maybe a one-off, but my massage was not very...

After traveling around Ecuador and staying at other hotels and hostels in the same price range I decided to edit my review of La Chimenea. I gave them 5 stars instead of 4. And here is why: The sheets and blankets are wonderfully soft—no scratchy cheap polyester. The pillows are soft—not the hard pancakes found at other establishments. The rooms are clean as are the bathrooms. No mold lurking in every corner. Plenty of hot water with great pressure. Helpful, friendly staff. Reliable WiFi. And breakfast too! We certainly looked forward to coming back here for a comfortable stay....

It was a wonderful place, in fact, I went to stay there twice when I came back to Banos. They have clean bathrooms with soap in the lobby and restaurant. Which is very hard to find in Ecuador. The hotel room bathrooms were nice and they have hot water which is a plus. It's just a very nice place, the price is very affordable and you get alot with that. I had a nice view of Banos and it's in walking distance to the attractions, bars, karaoke, etc. And it's family owned and they do their best to take care of the customers.
