Traveling with a school group it’s hard to complain about a hotel because we need to be flexible as to where we stay with 42 people. So the good – it had a pool, pool table, karaoke bar, and a huge lovely reception room and dining room. Our teens adored these amenities. It also was pretty convenient to the main square of Banos, which has a lot of shopping and dining. They arranged for a really nice breakfast and a decent dinner. They also arranged for a “cooking class“ in the reception room, and it was OK. The food was actually quite excellent, but the kids didn’t learn anything except mostly how to cut vegetables and crack eggs. We didn’t receive a recipe at the end.|Unfortunately, it was really rainy and cold, which led to the biggest downfall of this hotel. It was freezing. Many, many kids complained of the cold, and I myself was freezing. There are no extra blankets in the rooms – I’m sure I could’ve asked for one but my assumption was that everyone already needed one. There is also no fan of any kind – not in the bathroom or on the ceiling to help dry anything out. So once you got wet, it stayed wet for days. As with many hotels, it had extremely thin walls of noise did transfer pretty easily. I was able to hear people upstairs, almost as though they were in the room with me.|All that being said again, the kids loved it. That’s most important when we’re traveling, so I am pleased. Nope, I probably wouldn’t stay here on my own with my husband, but I recognize the value of this place for...
Read moreI had a challenging experience at their SPA. The staff had limited knowledge of the treatments I signed up for, there was no privacy for both the "cave" and the main Spa rooms, very very NOSY and uncomfortable. No towels, no bathrobes available, no etiquette to address customers and direct them to the next phase of the spa package. I ended up not paying for the treatments (chocolate scrub, 60 min massage) because I reached out to the manager and let her know my thoughts. I was pleased to see understood my displeasure, she was open and understanding of my questions and opinions. All in all, she seemed receptive and apologetic. I sincerely hope the Spa at Monteselva improves its service because the place itself is quite nice, the food at the restaurant is tasty, and there are huge portions (try the fruit salad!) The pools are good, too. They serve their purpose of relaxation. PLUS FOR ME: they are accommodating towards...
Read more2 nights out of 3 , we had to put up with the noise of parties in the dancing/meeting room. apparently the hotel leases that space.( good money probably ) the volume of the microphone could be heard up to the area of the rooms and not to mention the vibration. Imagine the uncontrolled volume. We asked for the volume to be lowered and nothing was done until the party ended .From 6h00 pm to 1h00 am . I personally had to go to the reception and demand more respect. awful moment when you want to enjoy your vacations, in peace mood. ||We took a promotion: room, breakfast, supper and 1 soil therapy at the spa . The food is pretty bad . Breakfast is basic. THe only good thing was the spa, that lasted 20 minutes for a soil body treatment - ah ..and gardens are pretty but Dont ruin your vacations there some other great places that we had the chance to visit ...
