This was the most elegant hotel we have ever visited, anywhere! We were a little concerned before arriving because it had no reviews, but its description made it seem nice so we tried it. We were surprised to discover a gem! It tuned out that there were no reviews because it was brand new: its Grand Opening had only been 4 days before on 06 Feb 2020.||This boutique hotel is a labor of love for its owner Ruth and her family: the decor shows excellent taste and refinement down to the last detail. The architecture is art-deco, harking back 100 years with fine details such as S-curved interior walls and curved stained'-glass windows. Its un-prepossessing outside facade belies the haven of tranquility behind its glass interior doors.||Our very large room included a King bed, a double whirlpool bath, a large wardrobe cabinet as the closet, and a tête-a-tête table with 2 chairs. There was plenty of ventilation, and the interior-opening window kept street noise and fumes outside where they belong.||Ruth's adult chidren staff the hotel, and they went out of their way to make our stay not just enjoyable, but memorable. We felt like an honored part of their extended family staying with them for a visit, rather than as guests in a commercial venture.||Desayuno (breakfast, from 8-10am) is delicious: fresh juice, fruit-flavored yoghurt with a smattering of granola, a bowl of mixed fruit, eggs al gusto, and toast with butter and marmelade. A fresh pot of coffee plus hot water and teas (caffeinated and herbal) are available 24 hours a day.||There is no elevator, so visitors with disabilities should ask for ground-floor accommodations (I'm not positive there are ground-floor rooms or suites: you'll have to ask the management). ||||Ruth's sons act as concierges: they directed us to excellent restaurants, a great 2-hour double-decker guided tour of the city (in Spanish and English), local artisans' markets, advised taxi fares, gave walking...
