A popular local chocolatier and cafe, BUT the choco-confectionery takeaway products and in-house served plates are a hit-or-miss 😑😑😑.

The cafe menu consists mainly of familiar chocolate-based plates, nothing special.

👍 The Cheesecake Triple Chocolate is quite good::: Tempere sweetness of triple layer of white, black and beige chocolate, garnished with almond chips.

The additional cherry garnish however is the terrible factory-made sugary glacéd kind.

🫤 👎🫤 The Chocolate Brownie is served warm BUT IT IS SUGARY. One can barely savor the chocolate.

☕️☕️☕️ Coffee is freshly brewed and fragrant.

Takeaway choco-products are also on display at the center of the cafe. They are laid over a red car prop, which is an attraction to many customers. But there’s nothing special, many clearly look over-sugared 🫤👎🫤.

Like the menu, the takeaway products are also a hit-or-miss 😑😑😑 AND OVERPRICED 👎.

👍 The bag of Chocolates Cookies is a 3-pack of well balanced soft baked cookies.

There’s however a version that looks OVER-SUGARED 👎👎👎 indicated by their white coating.

🫤👎🫤 The Chocolate Sandwich is a single wrap of a rather compacted chocolate mousse sandwiched between chocolate crispy shortbread. It looks quite neat BUT OVER-SUGARED that one can barely taste the chocolate.

As a lover of cacao and chocolate, high amounts of sugar destroys the flavor and texture of natural chocolate. 🫤🫤🫤🫤🫤.

Service can be improved. Wait staff take too long a time to even bring a menu after seating.

Someone among the staff should also be assigned to control the crowd posing for photos with the central car prop and display, many of these people are NOT even customers. They are a nuisance to those seated trying to...

DO NOT GO HERE to use their internet, we chose this spot because it looks a safe place to check a few things on the internet while having breakfast, we had our luggage and planned to stay for a bit while my girlfriend went to buy some artesanias at the local market, we needed to stay in communication to stay safe and for her to show what she found in the market to see if I was interested in some things, I ordered a full English breakfast and was talking to her while eating and before I even finish to eat my connection was dropped and we lost communication, I discovered that they just allow clients to use their internet for 30 minutes, and it’s not possible to extend the usage even ordering more stuff. It was a really bad experience because as I said I needed to stay in touch with my girl and suddenly I couldn’t talk to her anymore without any warning, I talked to the workers and they said they couldn’t do anything for me, so here is my advice don’t go to this place if you need a safe place to stay connected for a bit, the service was not that great as well, don’t go to this place and choose...

I've been here three times during my stay in Cuenca, but today made me certain I will not be returning. When the waiter came to take my order, he opened with "ni hao" (not Spanish, not English - but Mandarin). Is that racism or ignorance? Not everyone who's Asian-looking is from China (or Taiwan) and speaks Mandarin. I'm not from Asia. Why do you think I speak Chinese? In a city like Cuenca where there are many non-Latinos, people should know better. I wanted to get up and leave, but I ordered in (fluent) Spanish. Afterward, I proceeded to wait 30 mins for my order of churros and hot chocolate. Eventually, another waiter came to check on me, and a minute later, my waiter brought me my food. I could tell the churros had been sitting out for a while, and the hot chocolate tasted more watered down than the other times I had come.
