Set in fantastically lush 2 hectare garden only 700 meters from town. Originally we were only going to spend two nights here but ended up staying six. We got a warm reception from Maria the owners daughter. She showed us a couple of rooms so we could decide. Staff in general very friendly and super helpful. The family is one of the oldest and original settlers in the area.||Lovely views of the gardens and the pool from our window and outside balcony alongside. The room is clean and bright, hot water aplenty in en-suite shower. Little table, hanging space and shelving unit to put cases/stuff. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, eggs however you want them, some crispy coated potato with cheese filling thingy, juice and fantastic coffee, bread and various jams - I'm stuffed....

This is a beautiful piece of property with comfortable rooms in a main lodge as well as some rooms in private cabins. It's on a private dirt road that is gated at night and extends down to the river with plenty of room to look around and lovely gardens. It is kept clean and the staff is excellent. The breakfasts were great. We did have a fussy light sensor in the bathroom of one room that would not stay on for more than 20 seconds at a time, but it wasn't a big deal (kind of a fun game, actually). The walk into the center of Mindo is only a few minutes and provided some nice exercise in a pretty setting. The pool is beautiful and if you are soaking at night, pay attention to the little flashing bugs in the brush once the motion lights turn off. We stayed in a cabin in the middle of the garden beside the river beautiful to be in contact with nature.||||PROS||Attended by its owners, very friendly people and concerned that guests enjoy their stay.||Daily housekeeping Service||Great and abundant breakfast||There are camping and barbeque area right beside the river, just beautiful||You are in complete contact with the mother nature||Temperature good enough so you don't need fans or air conditioning system||The curtains in the cabin are made of lightweight fabric so when the day breaks, the sun wakes you up very early to enjoy the day||||CONS||There is no WiFi available in cabin 13 (it might be good or bad, depending on everybody's expectations)||Not enough shelves for a 5 people cabin to unpack||Upper bunk bed has no fence, it might be dangerous for someone not used to sleep on...
