We came with our 2-year-old and were initially worried about where to stay in Cairo, but this hostel completely eased our concerns. Especially Mirolla (I hope I’m spelling that right) was very sweet and kind—she even hung up our small load of laundry after it was washed! There was also Gretchen (again, I hope the spelling is correct), who was lovely to chat with and gave us some really helpful tips. The hostel was full of other nice people whose names I didn’t catch, but everyone was helpful and well-intentioned.

The rooms were clean enough (even with a 2-year-old). We didn’t use the shower because there was no curtain or door, but it wasn’t a big deal since we were only staying a short time. Breakfast wasn’t exactly filling, but fair enough for a hostel. Air conditioning was working.

If we ever come back to Cairo, we’d choose this place again—but to be honest, we have no intention of returning. The local people are extremely intrusive, there are far too many beggars, and even the taxi drivers harass you just for standing on the side of the road. The best way to protect yourself from this overwhelming behavior is to ignore them completely—not even a “no,” just don’t engage at all.

One night in Cairo would’ve been more than enough. We stayed three nights because we were traveling with a toddler, and it was...

My mom and I have passed a great time in landmark hostel, they prepared authentic Egyptian breakfast and the room is really clean and comfortable!

All the staffs are adorable and so helpful, I had a problem with my payment card and they were trying to help me and thinking of ways to figure it out, and finally they helped me out with this problem, I really appreciate that, and this is making me want to write this real comment on this perfect place in downtown, 5min walk to the old museum:)!

It’s definitely a great hostel to stay during the travel in Cairo...

🏨 New rooms with modern furniture — everything was great! The WiFi worked well, room cleaning was super fast, and the staff were very friendly. They also have laundry service, which was very convenient. We really appreciated the early check-in too 🙌 The hotel is on the 7th floor. Highly recommend! 📸 More travel experiences on Instagram: @trippingcouple
