Oum el Dounia Gallery — Local services in Cairo

The gallery has an excellent variety of handcrafts at reasonable prices. Product quality varies based on designer (e.g., better finishing in some fabric bags/cases than others). One suggestion/comment: Please use security cameras instead of hovering. This was not my expeirence in past visits to Oum el Dounia nor at similar stores (e.g., Fair Trade Zamalek). I would have enjoyed browsing more and might might have even bought more items. I still give the store a 4-star rating and encourage others...

This is an amazing store. Everything in it is beautiful and of very nice quality. At first, we didn’t see the entrance; you have to look into an entryway to see the sign, and it’s up a flight of stairs. From there, you ring the bell to enter. So worth the little extra attention to locate it! I bought beautiful jewelry, clothing, cards, and wooden platters....

Magnificent handmade artisan shop. They have a great variety of items (clothing, bags, platery, jewelry…). Several techniques can be found: pottery, glass blowing, leather… Each product has its origin explained. The staff is very friendly and kind. They even offered us a welcome tea :) The quality of products is very high and prices more than reasonable. 100%...
