A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Nile!

We booked Gold Island Resort for a quick family escape and ended up completely hooked. The location alone is something special, an actual island in the middle of the Nile, just minutes from Cairo, yet it feels like a world away. Calm, quiet, and beautifully maintained.

The kids’ area kept them busy for hours, and the Nile Zoo on the island was a fun surprise small, but full of charm. Between that and the pool access, we genuinely had no reason to leave. The swimming pool was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a proper recharge.

The two restaurants served great food, but what really stood out was the flexibility. We had meals delivered directly to our room more than once, even though it’s not something they advertise. And when we felt extra lazy, and wanting to try something new food delivered to the island by ferry, no exaggeration. That little touch of convenience made a huge difference.

Service was spot on, the atmosphere was relaxing, and everything just felt easy. If you’re looking for a family friendly getaway that doesn’t feel like the usual hotel experience, this place is a hidden gem. Already planning...
