Al-Manara Hostel Siwa Oasis — Hotel in Matruh

I stayed at the Al-Manara Hostel in Siwa and I absolutely loved it, it’s the best hostel that I’ve stayed in the whole of Egypt.

I stayed in a male dormitory and it was super good value for money, included a free Bedouin style Siwa breakfast which I had in the morning before I left on an activity.

All the staff were amazing, from the top, the owner, Faraj, is welcoming, kind, helpful and talkative. The receptionist, house keeping and everyone else were all amazing.

It’s in a great location with a supermarket, a bakery etc just outside. I was super relaxed at the hostel, I met some amazing people from Bolivia who I hung out with. The bathrooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, there is free towels, wifi and washing machine all to use for the guests.

This is second time I’d been to Siwa, the first time this hostel didn’t exist. I’m really pleased that this is now here as it’s the best and cheapest place in...

I absolutely loved this hostel, the owner is very attentive and caring. This is one of the cleanest places, awesome places I have been in Egypt. Rooms are spacious,beds big with super clean cotton covers,AC and also warm blankets are available. Bathrooms super clean and I really loved hostal rules,like to keep quiet at night time very good place to take rest (only two ppl per dorm), also possible to use washing machine to wash clothes and fully equipped kitchen to cook plus breakfast included with an amazing hibiscus jam which I think they only produce in Siwa. In the rooms Lovely balcony, hostal is situated right in the center.Wifi works very well too. Also the owner is a very flexible person and makes super nice videos in case if anyone would like to have a good memory from trips. I traveled solo to Siwa looking for a comfortable and authentic experience, and staying at this guesthouse was the best decision I made.||The location is right in the heart of the town, which made it so easy for me to explore and move around to different places in Siwa.||Abdallah, the host, is very well known in the area and one of the most helpful people I’ve ever met.
