If you are looking for a relaxing and well-being holiday, this place is not for you. Let me start by saying that Moreno spa and Hotelux marina beach are the same hotels, when you book an excursion or any pick up service you specify both names to avoid running into inconveniences. Now, the structure from the photos may seem captivating and in good shape but this is not the case. Inside it is dilapidated, with crumbling walls and the level of cleanliness is very low, during the week of holiday several mice were spotted in the entrance halls leading to the rooms and large cockroaches when a computer mouse. Those who work there, apart from a few elements that can be counted in one hand, are not at all kind and inclined towards the customer. They are all annoyed, rude, not very inclusive and totally devoid of attitude towards the guest, they don't make you feel absolutely good and at ease. What they do they do just for the tip. In a week I will have only seen two smiles, both post tips, otherwise they even look at you badly as if I had sneaked into their house. They are so linked by tourism, which is fundamental for them, that I wonder how they manage to be so grumpy and unpleasant, do another job if you have to do it like this!! You can't swim in the sea at night, not even wet your ankles. You will find the canopies on the beach freed and not occupied by the Russians because they have a separate cost of 10 euros/dollars. The kind hotel workers will wait staring at you until you leave, not even giving you time to fold the towel and put it in your bag. In the upper part of Hurghada you will find new, better structures, well studied, although I think it improves the architectural context but not the hospitality. The property is home to 99% Russians who monopolize any access point to alcohol, monopolize the beach loungers they compulsively occupy with sheets while they are out drinking. I don't rule out drunkenness and alcohol-driven brawlers around you. We saw more than one Russian guest, a man and woman without distinction, screaming in anger and arguing. The evening entertainment is made up of Russian music, the directions around the property are in Russian. When you travel around Egypt, make a quote that anything you do for them requires a tip, smoking outside a newly paid bathroom also requires a tip. Every single person you meet consciously or unconsciously will ask you for a tip. EVERYBODY. They are moving forward with the archeology that distinguishes them and which they left them 4500 years ago, what pushed me to visit Egypt, apart from that given the welcome, would not...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience at this hotel was very disappointing, and I’d like to share the details so that anyone considering staying here has a clearer picture.
The first issue I noticed was the poor cleanliness of the public areas: the lobby, the corridors, and even the spaces that are supposed to represent the hotel’s image were neglected and not well-maintained. For a hotel claiming to be 4 or 5 stars, this is completely unacceptable.
The second major disappointment was the rooms. The furniture is old and worn out, the walls need repainting, and the overall décor looks outdated and neglected. Instead of feeling comfortable or enjoying a nice atmosphere, I felt like I was staying somewhere in desperate need of renovation.
Another unpleasant aspect was the reception staff. The reception is the first impression any guest gets of a hotel, but unfortunately, the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Their attitude was cold and lacked the professionalism and hospitality expected.
As for the food, it was far below expectations: poor quality, very limited variety, and quite average in taste — more like fast food than a proper hotel dining experience.
Despite all these negatives, I must be fair and highlight some of the staff who really stood out and made an effort:
Mostafa from Housekeeping: very polite and dedicated to his work.
Hossam from the beach staff: extremely respectful and always ready to help with a smile.
The restaurant team: all of them provided excellent service despite the food quality.
The restaurant manager: cooperative and genuinely tried to satisfy the guests.
The concierge team: very professional, respectful, and always willing to help. In conclusion, the hotel urgently needs a complete review of its services — especially cleanliness, room renovations, better training for reception staff, and a significant improvement in food quality. Still, I cannot ignore the efforts of the few staff members who truly made a difference in an otherwise...
Read morePOST STAY EDITS I am editing my review after my stay is complete because during my stay Mr. Ahmed R. - Sr. Duty Manager has done everything he can to accommodate and to ensure we have the expected experience, i thank him for his resilience, flexibility and professionalism in managing unpleasant situations.
THIS IS THE WORST STAY OF MY LIFE, review in points for all bad elements that takes away travel joy:
1- you book all inclusive and the only all inclusive you get are the 3 meals and some tasteless snacks, you ask for a bottle of water you have to pay, some cotton candy (that costs barely nothing, you pay extra) even juice you get the fast prepared, unbranded products, when you ask for real fresh juice you have to pay for it.
2- staff are in on it and they charge extra for almost everything. You go on the beach you have to beg whoever there (life guard) they literally ask for tips for getting you a sun bed.
3- no credible people in charge all they care about is your money upfront all your stay and anytime.
4- a child with our group was having fever and couldn’t make it to breakfast, they refused to sens breakfast to her room to be able to take her medicine. Until only we had to talk to duty manager to understand the situation and make in their terms “an exception”.
some Serious action from WHOEVER is considered manager if there is any which is...
