EL Mina Fish Restaurant — Restaurant in Red Sea

I don't know why this restaurant is high rated, but here are my 2 cents that are coming from a person who raised on a coastal city and adores sea food.

Me and my friend ordered about 4 different platters and after eating it is safe to say most of the food is several days old and some arent safe to eat at all.

All the shrimp we ate had the exterior crust so stuck to the meat which means it was frozen for long and not fresh, plus they served me a platter that is missing ingredients should have been initially there.

The shrimp Molokheya was definitely bad and reheated from being frozen, it was soggy and bland, and came half warm, and when I asked them to reheated they came back with it super hot under 5 minutes.

The fish roe tajin was also super bad, the roe sticks were very bitter, as if they were soaked in gallbladder soup and had my tongue bitter for the rest of the night.

My friend's mixed seafood meal was of very poor pieces and felt unfresh too.

Pos-meal experience, excessive bloating for the rest of the night, felt nauseous and really tired and had a terrible time digesting this hell of a meal.

If there is only one thing they did serve good that evening, it is the white bread that came hot out of the...

Fresh fish and good service! We came there with my husband in October 2018. Administrator was meeting us and he gave us very nice table. If you are a smoker - you will like the fact, that you can smoke inside. If you are nosmoker - don't worry so much. They are having a good ventilation and you will not feel the smell of cigarets. In the restaurant you will not find a menu of alcohol, but we gave 10 euro for our administrator, he was calling a "taxi" and taxi was delivering a bottle of a good local wine. We were eating this evening a lot of tasty seafood: the squids, kingsize shrimps,2 lobsters and side dishes, salat, fresh bread for 25 euro. Waitress was bringing also two very tasty cocktails like a complement!! Very kindly service! And they also were bringing a normal bill ( printed one, with info of prices for kilo and how much your portion...

The place is so nice, big and clean. It’s suitable for big groups.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They served us Lemonade as a welcome drink.

They have a huge variety of seafood, but it’s better to go early in the day.

We ordered their famous soup, it was good 4/5. We also ordered fried Morgan fish it was so delicious, one of the best fish I ever had ❤️ Fried Calamari and fried shrimp were very good too.

Prices are fair for the food quality but it can be considered expensive compared to other seafood restaurant in the same area.

What I didn’t like is that they over charge for ( Salad, Tihini, Babaghanog). Each single small dish is for 10 egp and green salad is for 15 egp. Which is weird for seafood restaurants!

But still, this place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as you will enjoy every pound...
