We had an amazing stay. The hotel, surroundings, service and general ambience was better than we thought it would be. This is a very well run hotel.||Room: We had a swim up room (3108). These overlook the swim up rooms for the Titanic Palace and are lovely and peaceful. This time of year they don't get the sun on the terrace until 4pm ish but you get a couple of hours of sun. These rooms have not been renovated however they are clean and in a good state of repair. Room 3108 was close to everything in the hotel and the swim up area had a small grass area with loungers on, if you wanted some peace and quiet. We requested this room as we knew it was away from the swim up rooms that overlook the bungalows of the Palace, which we wanted to avoid. Reception accommodated this request which was great! The shower was one of the most powerful we've ever known and there was plentiful hot water except for one evening. Our housekeeper was Sami, a young lad with bags of personality. He could clean a room to a very high standard in no time. ||Hotel: the gounds and facilities were beautiful. There are so many gardeners working hard to trim bushes and grass. The hotel actually looked brand new. The waterpark was good fun. Wifi was generally very good and available everywhere. Occasionally it would drop out.||Al a carte restaurants: we dined at the Japanese, Chinese, Mexican & Lebanese. The Japanese was excellent. 10 or 12 of you sat around the hot plate for show cooking. This is a very hard reservation to get so book it as soon as you get there, I enjoyed the Chinese too. The Mexican was OK but was understaffed so service was slow and the Lebanese had no vegetarian main courses, although the waiter knew how to fix this by recommending a couple of the small dishes to be combined as a meal.||Entertainment: we would have liked some more adult style entertainment on an evening, maybe a singer or guitarist. One evening there was a singer but she wasn't on for long. The entertainment team do a great job don't get me wrong, especially during the day, but the evening wasn't really our cup of tea. We found the evenings better at the Pakace (2 minute walk through our hotel). In fact we found the Palace had a better atmosphere generally and we spent quite a bit of time there. ||Staff & Service: we got typical Egyptian service, otherwise known as excellent, happy & uber friendly. All the staff were top notch and really made the holiday. Notable mentions for exceptional service go to Sami our housekeeper, Hamdi the pool barman & Ahmed 660 the pool guy. On our first day we got talking to one of the pool guys and he asked if we wanted the same beds each day. We did and he had our beds organised for us when we came down after breakfast each day! Towels, parasol, table! He never asked for a tip (no member of staff did) however we gave him 100 EGP each day which he appreciated. I think we were the only ones doing this because anything he found abandoned when he started his shift ended up at our beds! Lilo's, a rubber ring, sun creams and even diarrhoea tablets! Saved us having to get up early to secure beds. Having said that, there was never an issue finding spare beds during the day.||Issues: like any hotel, there are things that weren't quite right. In the buffet restaurant not everything was labelled which is a problem if you don't eat meat. Also, utensils were often missing. Check out was chaos and I would suggest checking out well before 12pm. We queued to get to a receptionist who then said she doesn't do check outs so had to queue again. Wristbands are cut off but you can still get served. We weren't asked if we'd had a nice stay which always winds me up when checking out of a hotel.||Other things: before we arrived I was getting worked up about mosquitoes. We brought OFF spray. We only got a handful of bites but were careful to keep our terrace door closed. There were hardly any insects to be honest, no flies or wasps which was a surprise. We did one trip, to Orange Island organised by the Sea Waves team located in the hotel. Aladdin was the rep. Yes we paid more than what we could have got it for elsewhere but we had piece of mind that the company was located within the hotel and was very professional and well organised. The trip was great, the boat was fab and not overcrowded, and was made up of guests from the hotel and the Palace next door. Crew were fantastic. Orange Island was beautiful but very busy and expensive if you wanted anything. We stopped for snorkelling too and the onboard staff helped even the most nervous swimmer get in and enjoy it.||Overall, a great hotel and we had an amazing holiday!||Swim up room tip: rooms 3102, 3104, 3106, 3108, 3110, 3112 are close...
Read moreWe arrived for our big family holiday on the 23rd of July and at the writing of this review we are still on site and will be here till 13th August.
We arrived at around 2230 hrs at the hotel and were promptly booked in to our first of two rooms thus far since we arrived. We had just travelled from London n a 5 hour flight and when we walked into the room we found that for our family of 4 we had been given a family room with three beds. Not a great start considering we had booked this holiday some time ago at the start of January so it wasn’t like we had just booked last min. After 4 visits to the main desk and also 2 phone calls we were given a forth single bed at 0130hrs that was pushed up against one of the other beds to make a double on wheels hilarious when you think that as you turn over in the night to say good night to your wife that you fall straight through the middle and nearly onto the floor.
After two days of single bed mayhem and finding a family from brum who had the same issues only two doors up from us I went to guest relations and spoke with a lady called Maria who was most accommodating. She told me that she had sorted us a room on the other side of the resort nearer the beach which should have a double bed and a pull out bed for the two kids
At this point it’s worth now talking about the food and bar choices.
When you book the titanic beach resort you get access to the titanic palace facilities next door and vice versa. There are stark contrasts on both sides. Titanic beach has limited cocktail/mocktail list which after a week becomes tiresome and bland and it’s also worth noting that there aren’t any measures of alcohol it’s just pour and hope for the best which leads mostly to your mojito tasting like petrol and with a absence of any taste of mint.
Food is hit and miss as a European. I’m not the kind of person that turns there nose up to indigenous foods and the way food is prepared however I do find it poor that most food is not labeled to even state what it is let alone have any allergens on what is labelled. On numerous occasions my little girl and wife have been sick after eating which has ultimately led to them eating only chips and plain chicken (when that is available) in the buffet restaurants on both sides. Food is available during the day from the beach front restaurant.
Soft drinks are on tap however when the bars close on the beach areas there is no other alternative if you are in those areas than to travel all the way to the other side of the resort to get a soft drink.
A la carte resturant are aplenty at the resort. At this moment in time we have visited two in our time. The Italian is good with staff really helpful and quick to provide service when you need it HOWEVER having been booked into the Indian for my sons 13th birthday we arrived shortly after our booking time at 20:05 and were promptly rushed to our chair where there was four pieces of naan bread cut from a single Naan in the middle of our table. Food was not available choice was non existent don’t go it’s a waste of time booking.
Staff. The coffee barista is a legend. The bar man Mohammed who is young is a top man very attentive and our housekeeping guy brought a birthday cake and decorated our room top quality effort from them.
Water park
The park is not as good as it sounds. Two attraction are only turned on twice a day for 20 mins the wave pool operates twice daily for 20 mins and then you have the selection of about 6 slides one of which you can come down as a family of four don’t go over weight as someone hurt there leg as a result of being overweight and going over the top. Life guards are in general nice and attentive and will make your stay in the sun comfortable by getting you sun loungers from the beach.
In reflection we have been to all inclusive resorts before. This doesn’t really hit anywhere near the experiences of our past holidays of the same nature. I’ve been to better hotels and paid less and although this review seems negative we have enjoyed our stay when we haven’t...
Read moreThe Titanic Beach Spa and Aqua Park Resort was absolutely amazing and we loved every minute! My partner and I travelled from London and stayed here for a blissful 2 weeks. Titanic Beach is connected to its sister hotel, Titanic Palace, which you also get full access to use! The grounds are huge and there is so much to explore and do. Reception Staff: We arrived to the hotel at around 11pm, where Hassan greeted us and helped us check-In. Hassan was extremely welcoming, friendly, efficient and we were able to get into our room very fast. He also provided us with his WhatsApp number to contact him if any questions or issues, which we have never had from any other hotel before. We were very impressed and shows the care for convenience in Titanic Beach. We sent WhatsApp messages to Hassan just to arrange breakfast boxes before our excursions and he did it straight away and they were there when we needed them before our Excursions. Fabulous service! Keroles helped us at check-in with our VIP Bands and also warmly welcomed us on arrival. The VIP Bands gave us access to the VIP private lounge, to book and use all the restaurants every day, exclusive access to the VIP Breakfast in the Italian Restaurant, a Fruit basket in our room and Later Check-Out (2pm instead of 12pm). Keroles was also available over WhatsApp to help us during our stay if we had any issues or questions which was really nice. Big thank you to both Keroles and Hassan who made our stay so incredible and special!! Fantastic staff and an asset to this hotel. The bellman are really efficient, when we checked out we didn’t have to call/text or arrange them to come collect our luggage, it was all sorted out by the hotel and they were ready at our door 10 minutes before the checkout time. A wonderful surprise! Again, the first hotel I have stayed at where this quality service is provided without having to arrange ourselves (And I have stayed in many 5* hotels across the world)! On Check-out, they do not cut off your wristbands so you can use the facilities in the hotel still until your flight home which was ideal and ended the holiday on a high. The Food / Restaurants: The buffet is huge, with so much selection! There really is something for everyone! We never felt ill from the food and loved the different meat carvery station they done each day. The Beef Wellington was delicious as was the steak! The Egyptian Bread also is freshly prepared in front of you and is so fresh. They also do freshly squeezed orange juice from oranges in the morning outside in the live station, which was so refreshing. You can get ice cream cones between 12-5pm in the sister hotel and at the dinner time in Titanic Beach outside the buffet. The ice cream is really nice and the cones are very fresh. The VIP Breakfast is held in the Italian restaurant and so is separate from the main Buffet. We had a chef freshly cook us Omlettes and Pancakes each morning. There was also large selection of other foods there as well as hot drinks. We preferred going here for breakfast as it was quieter and more relaxing. The staff were excellent here and amazing service. We were able to try all of the A La Carte Restaurants. We loved the Japanese Show Cooking, this was so much fun and such a unique experience. The China Town Restaurant was probably our favourite menu and food. We ordered Duck Breast for a main and this was just sensational. The Grill was so much fun and the cuts of meat were very high quality and delicious. Cannot fault the food in this hotel, exceeded my expectations and more. Every restaurant we had amazing service paired with the most delicious food. Big thank you to Sherif, who was so kind, helpful and amazing at booking our restaurant reservations.
We had the most incredible time in Titanic Beach Hotel, and most definitely will be back! Thank you again to Hassan, Keroles and Sherif who made our holiday so special and amazing. This is truly a 5 Star resort with amazing food, drinks, service, staff...
