we came for a week 7th-14th december and it was great. we had booked a different hotel previously but reviews seemed horrible so switched to this hotel last minute and it really did not disappoint. we got there around 11pm in the night and checked in, took maybe 10 minutes and they said to relax in the bar area for tenish minutes whilst they get the rooms for us. they had upgraded us to two better rooms one that leads to a pool bottom floor and the other which had a great view of the sea on third floor which i’ll include below. wish both rooms were a bit closer but nothing major. the only downside was the bathroom, it had this strong pee smell coming from the toilet in the duration of our stay which had ruined the bathroom experience however it was only the sea view room, the other room seemed fine. rooms itself were very spacious and housekeeper ahmed was amazing, cleaned everyday and made the room feel so much fresher! i would reccomend if you open your balcony door, make sure to always close it, first night was fine then second night we had all gotten so many mosquito bites i had around 14 in total from just one night, a good few on the face arms feet, made the experience a bit unbearable, make sure you ask your housekeeper to get mosquito plugs, and use your mosquito repellants. the wifi was very good, rarely ever experienced drop out which suprised me as the hotel was massive. the food was okay, nothing outstanding but they had the basics pancakes donuts waffles and pastries for breakfast fresh everyday which was great and mainly what i had daily. other things like cereals and omelette station which were ok too. lunch was mainly just chips for me but had a lot of different unique foods. dinner was good too but most days we had gone to the a la carte restaurants, lebanese, mexican, indian and japanese which was easily the best, we had to book that in advance as it gets full very quickly and it was well worth it, i would absolutely recommend it to everyone. slides were good fun but in the group slides we had to get the floaties from the bottom of the slide to the top which we did struggle with, but the lifeguards were amazing and helped out! waffles at the pool bar was lush and the heated swimming pool was lovely too. beach was very nice and fresh looking, last full day we had a excursion booked to go to an island but unfortunately the winds were extremely strong and the sea had closed and we weren’t able to do it so be wary with that, i reccomend booking all excursions that involve the sea in the first few days of your stay just in case they get cancelled. tennis court and mini golf were good for a bit of entertainment. arcade was very mid, similar games, pool was ok too, one game for £9 which was a bit pricey but nonetheless enjoyable. staff were all friendly, animation team was very peculiar, not like other hotels i’ve stayed at but opinions may vary. sister hotel facilities (titanic beach) were good they were basically the same as palace but it was great to access for long walks, looked gorgeous at sunset and night time! i did email asking if they did birthday packages, they then provided us with a birthday cake around 3 days later, if you want to come to a cake tho i would suggest emailing atleast a week and a half in advance as they saw this email quite late. if you want to go on a shop make sure you haggle, we went to senzo mall which was recommended to us but it was basically like your average shopping mall in the uk just egypt styled and overpriced. smaller shops, make sure you always haggle as most are just overcharging, we went to one of the shops in palace and was interested in a key ring and haggled it down to 150 egyptian pounds when he originally said 200 and said we’ll come back later, when we did he forgot we came earlier and said the primal price was 250 once i said we already came he got very moody and not as talkative, never really looked up from the phone, still managed to get it for 150. overall it was a great resort had lots of facilities and definitely worth it, paid around 430pp

The hotel boasts a five-star rating, which may have been justified at the time of its construction, but at this moment, the building is far from satisfactory. Any faults and damages are “patched up” with a “good enough” approach. I’m talking about tiles glued with silicone, etc. The rooms are cleaned very poorly and selectively. In the bathroom, there were visible traces of mold and milde on the walls and ceilin, completing the miserable picture. At night, we were plagued by mosquitoes. On the bright side, the common areas available to guests are in much better condition. The pools and green areas between the buildings are inviting for relaxation. The sun loungers are clean and in good condition. The section with water slides is a mix of both—clean on the surface, but in the corners, you can see terrible dirt. The water in the enclosed tube slide had a color suggesting it had previously been used to mop the floor… Moving on to the next - food. There is nothing to complain about regarding the meals served. Decent, cafeteria-style food. However, after a week, the menu becomes repetitive. The desserts look very appealing, but unfortunately, that’s all they have going for them. The local alcohol served is only tolerable when diluted. Beer is just a standard lager. Everything is served in plastic, poorly washed cups. When I finally got hold of a glass one, I clung to it, washing it myself. All of this is part of the “Ultra All-Inclusive” option, which is just a marketing gimmick. It doesn’t offer anything more than the standard. The 24/7 snacks mentioned in the voucher apparently need to be arranged by yourself and stored in your room xD. When I tried to make myself a coffee outside meal hours, I was rudely sent away to the lobby bar—twice. Now, let’s talk about the service… I truly sympathize with the employees working 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week .The exhaustion is evident. However, this does not excuse their rude attitude. At every moment, you can feel the expectation of tips. Several times, after tipping a waiter, they never returned to us. Instead, they to start circling around those who hadn’t left a tip yet. The person handling restaurant reservations is simply impolite and rude. The Coral Travel representative (probably Boula) seems to have a deep dislike for people—both guests and his fellow countrymen. He disparages all other tour operators and service providers, suggesting that everyone is out to scam us. To some extent, he’s right—let’s be honest, everyone just wants to make money off us as tourists. The cruise offered by the agency are five times more expensive than those available on safe online platforms. Other activities available include the gym and reef diving. Starting with the gym: it is decently equipped and allows for basic training. However, the lack of cleanliness is outright repulsive. My wife used a paper towel to grab the dumbbells. The touchscreen on the treadmill was simply filthy. Some machines were missing ropes and grips necessary to use them. Diving at the reef provides an incredible experience. The beauty of marine flora and fauna is truly extraordinary. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the jetty leading to it, which is falling apart before our eyes. The remains of railings are calmly growing barnacles underwater. I witnessed a situation where the staff was placing loose chunks of concrete onto rusted stairs to stabilize them. The hotel offers many additional paid activities, including: SPA, kite surfing, etc. I didn’t use any of them because the persistent salespeople successfully discouraged me. They would interrupt relaxation multiple times a day. Prices for these services are set individually. I experienced this firsthand when purchasing the medicne at the hotel pharmacy. The online price was 50 EGP—I ended up paying 500 EGP. The cherry on top? After my wife’s birthday dinner, the waiter asked us to exchange small bills ($1) for larger denominations. He scammed us out of $2 because we didn’t count the money before exchanging it…

This is a fair review so we will start with the good, this will be long but detailed as this is exactly what I looked for when booking and couldn’t find! this trip was actually for mine and my husband’s honeymoon, so you can imagine we wanted things to be as perfect as possible, but we went in open minded and didn’t expect excellent just expected what you would from a 5* hotel. ||Both me and my partner can agree the food was delicious, in the main restaurant things were maintained well and we always found something we enjoyed (my husband is a day eater so this was a big deal for us) ||During our visit we sampled the Mexican and Japanese restaurant, we enjoyed the Mexican and food was good but service was almost flat. However one of our highlights from the hotel was the Japanese’s and the master chef is a credit to the hotel. ||We had interaction with one of the animation team, she was amazing and massively unbalanced to the hotel, all the others came across as rude and never even tried to speak with us. ||Drinks from the bar were good quality and quick with service however some staff weren’t the friendliest.||The cleaners for our room were lovely. Very attentive and would check in with us whenever they saw us about, they set our room up lovely when we arrived and maintained it during our stay. ||Now on to the negatives, ||This biggest issue with we had was the mosquitoes. I have never experienced anything like it in my life. Within our first few days I was bitten over 50 times despite wearing repellent and the majority of these were on our room, we did ring reception and ask for help but they sent someone to restore our fridge instead? This put a massively downer on our holiday as the first few days I was just miserable and itchy with bites all up my legs. ||Our pool was also very poorly maintained considering we paid for a bungalow with a private pool we couldn’t be in the pool much due to how much debris was in it. The lining of the pools made them look incredibly unkept and dirt stuck to the folds of the plastic. The plaster around our pool was also flaking off again leaving debris in the water. ||The staff are useless unless you are tipping constantly, whilst I appreciate this is practice for staff we did tip for many things but I will not tip if you have don’t nothing above what’s standard for me! Especially if the service itself wasn’t good. As we always did we held back a good few thousand Egyptian pounds so we could reward those who did provide service for us during our stay, however due to how we were treated we ended up gifting just 1000 of this.||Entertainment was hit and miss, sometimes it felt like the young entertainment staff were simply there to have a laugh with their mates. Pretty much all were constantly on their phone but they did have a few good shows I have to say. ||Now funnily enough all of the above we could actually overlook as we didn’t want to put a negative time on our honeymoon however! The treatment we got when we checked out was disgustingly and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a 5* hotel and is the whole reason we will not come back or recommend.||Whilst I appreciate that a lot of all inclusives run till you check out most will ensure you are still able to access certain things if your flights are later. Despite checking out at 12pm we don’t fly till 11.45 that night and during check out had our bands sniped but were provided a voucher for lunch at 12.30pm but nothing else. ||When walking in for said lunch the staff weren’t incredibly rude! As if because our stay was over their service didn’t matter anymore! This was a shame as this is exactly why we wait till later on to tip to ensure service is actually good rather than an act! ||The real kick in the teeth with this is we felt|Like we then couldn’t use any facilities in the hotel and it pretty much ruined our last day in Egypt. We were then blown away when we got talking to a few other couples who were waiting to leave too! Despite our bands being cut all of them (3 separate couples) were allowed to keep their bands to access drinks and food during their stay and they departed before us! ||For the record I did explain my unhappiness to|Reception but again greeted with a rude and uncaring gentlemen. ||It’s also worth noting that they will get you to fill in a satisfaction review after check out but question things as you write so these are of|Course extremely Inaccurate! I felt like I couldn’t be honest with this review as the service we received there was already hostile! ||May I also add there were many occasions as a female I felt uncomfortable with being stared at, whilst I expect this somewhat from past experiences I have never felt like I did at this hotel, men literally following me and and speaking to each other about me in Egyptian when they are supposed to be working and professional isn’t pleasant especially when you can see it constantly. ||There are many more issues that are minor but these are the majority so I will leave it there, in a nutshell Egypt is a phenomenal country and we enjoyed our time there but this hotel really didn’t live up to expectations especially as we had highlighted in advance this was for...
