Review of the Bedouin Moon Hotel in Dahab. We chose this hotel because we liked the look of the pool area and beach view. When we arrived after our extremely long and arduous bus journey we were pleased to be able to check in immediately. We were shown to our room and put down our bags, changed and went to the pool. One of the staff brought us towels at the pool. The pool area is beautiful and is nestled against the mountain and we enjoyed our swim. We went back to our room to change and went down to the restaurant for lunch. Only 5 items on the menu were available and it appeared that they were ordered from a restaurant in the town and then fetched by one of the hotel staff because we waited an hour and a half for our food. By the time we had eaten we were exhausted and all three of us went to unpack and lie down. We discovered that despite the fact that we were 3 people there were only 2 towels. Also, there was no bath mat and no toiletries in the bathroom - not even a small soap. I had to go and ask for more towels, which we were given. We all had a sleep and when we woke up we decided to order pizza. It again took a very long time and when it arrived it was from Pizza hut and wasn't the pizza we'd ordered. On Monday morning we went down to breakfast and there was baladi bread, sausages and mince, cheese and salad. I was disappointed that there wasn't any falafel, but it was an adequate selection. We also got ersatz fruit juice which is very sad in Egypt where fresh fruit juices are part of the culture. This was standard apart from omelets and crepes added to the options, and fruit salad one morning. When we returned from our day at the beach it was to discover that we only had 2 towels again. This happened every day, and every day we had to ask for more towels. The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was kept clean while we were there. The breakfast was adequate. We were frustrated by the card machine not working and the daily towel struggle. I don't think I would go back there - it's also far from the Mashraba - apart from...
Read moreI highly recommend this hotel. The manager, Nasser is a top professional in hospitality. He was extremely accommodating to my special needs. I had to make schedule changes, no problem, I requested a change of mattress , no problem, got a high quality mattress, requested a desk in the room for my laptop, no problem. All done efficiently and attentively. The breakfast is very rich and fulfilling, the unblocked sea view directly out of the balcony is fantastic. The hotel is a little out of the town center so you need to walk to restaurants along the beach and the corniche, for me this is a plus. No swimming pool. It has a private lounge area right on the beach in front of the hotel with a lot of privacy. I did not use the wifi so I can't report on that, the hotel staff is very friendly, laundry came back within hours and the property is clean and well maintained. I paid 55$ per night including all taxes - I think this is low season rate. I am glad I found this hotel and I...
Read moreThe hotel is a bit further away from all the hustle and bustle of Dahab center, I find this very nice and relaxing. The rooms are beautiful and relaxed. There is a television and air conditioning. You can see the sea or the mountains from your room 🥰 I saw and heard the sea, this was beautiful! The sea is literally 5 to 6 meters from the hotel and the mountains even less. The reception staff were super mega mega helpful which I admire! The breakfast was also delicious and a genuine 10 plus for all the hotel staff. If you are looking for a relaxed, natural vibe, I recommend this hotel! The suite is great! It has a wonderful ben and bath, I wanted to upgrade when I was there, but unfortunately I couldn't because the room was already booked. There is also a room to do yoga, and a kind of chill area with cushions where you can also eat and relax. Dahab center is about 10 to 15 minutes by car from the hotel :) and of course I found the cats and dogs in the area super sweet,...
