Mirage village — Restaurant in South Sinai

Since its Lebanese food. Having spent two years in Lebanon I can say that if this is Lebanese then it's someone who spent too much time away from Lebanon. The food is not horrible but it certainly not authentic. It's kind of like that Seinfeld episode where the Afghan Chef Babu changes his cuisine to a bit of everything on Jerry's suggestion and it turns out that everything is just bland and not quite right. It's a beautiful and cozy sea view restaurant. The environment it's romantic and they have an extended menu with lots of Lebanese cuisine options. I've been there 3 times and as a vegan I wouldn't recommend it. They have few vegan options but the chief is just not good. Every single dish came (in all the 3 times) with a lot of lemon juice, or overcooked or cold as it was coming outside of the fridge instead oven. Found on the beach next to Mirage Dive Centre. The place has a very nice ambience in the evening. The Lebanese food is tasty but I doubt it's authentic although I don't care because delicious is always a good thing. I like the meat with hummus, spicy potatoes and chicken. Good service, pretty fast getting the orders out. It's great for groups, order a selection and treat it like a tapas menu. Inside is a library/book swap....
