This hotel is absolutely perfect if your priorities are a clean and calm sea, everything within walking distance, cleanliness, comfort, and safety. Unfortunately, the food isn’t very special — it’s quite basic, but that’s a matter of taste. For us, a peaceful and relaxing holiday with a beautiful beach and sea was the most important thing, and that’s exactly what we got. We had a wonderful time, were very satisfied, and would definitely choose this place again and recommend it to others.
Check-in – 3.5/5 There is an option for early check-in for $20, but if you arrive very early, we strongly recommend booking an extra night in advance. The staff is not very flexible when it comes to early check-in – we had to wait for several hours and really regretted not booking the extra night beforehand. On the positive side, they provided us with free Wi-Fi and allowed us to wait in the lobby while they tried to prepare a room as soon as possible. However, booking an extra night on site was only possible with an upgrade (an additional $25 per night for a sea-view room instead of a garden view). Our main advice: book in advance to make everything smooth and stress-free. Cleanliness – 5/5 The cleanliness was absolutely outstanding! The entire hotel grounds, beach, and restaurant were spotless and perfectly maintained. The staff cleaned the beach regularly, and even the sand was always clean. The rooms were cleaned daily, and we received creative towel figures every day. Beach towels could be exchanged whenever needed, and all towels were in excellent condition.
Room – 3.5/5 We had a garden-view room. Unfortunately, we received two separate beds even though we were a couple. They offered a room change after a few days, but we decided to just push the beds together. The room was a bit small, but that wasn’t an issue for us since we spent most of our time outside. Everything was renovated except for the bathroom door, which was heavily damaged and looked terrible — we don’t know what happened to it, but it definitely needed replacing. The air conditioning worked perfectly. There was a kettle, tea, a small fridge, and two bottles of water provided daily. If you needed more water, you could fill it from the water dispenser during breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or buy bottled water at the bar.
Beach – 5/5 The beach was absolutely fantastic — about a 5-minute walk from any building. There was a bar right by the beach (open 11:00–18:00) where you could get drinks such as 7Up, Miranda, Pepsi (local versions), coffee, tea, cocoa, and soda, as well as alcoholic drinks (we didn’t try those). Drinks were served in plastic cups for cold beverages and paper cups for hot drinks. There were always enough sunbeds available, no matter what time you arrived. The beach, pool, and restaurant were all close together, so you didn’t even need to go back to your room during the day. There was a fun animation program — young staff members regularly invited guests to aqua fitness, stretching, and games. The sea was calm and peaceful, sometimes a bit windy but never a problem. The sandy shore was soft and comfortable, with no coral reefs, making it perfect for children too.
Service – 5/5 The staff was always kind, friendly, and eager to help. They spoke English and sometimes Russian. The service was excellent — they would approach you if you had questions, call you if needed, and always solve any issue quickly. Most of the guests were...
Read moreFrom start to finish the staff were awful. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and when we arrived at 8.30pm we were challenged by security staff who approached us with 'what do you need?'. This place is in the middle of nowhere and we are two women with suitcases and backpacks - what did they think we wanted??
We ate at the restaurant over looking the sea- Its a lovely setting and the beach is just there with high tables offering great views. Here is my take on both:
Buffett breakfast- basic food BUT its ok. You can get a fresh omelette and if you have kids this is a great place for them to eat- lots of space and variety. I would just say the quality isnt great and if you would prefer more than a watered down American coffee go somewhere else.
Buffet dinner - not worth £425 EP per person.
We were bed and breakfast only and when we turned up to see what was offered, we were surrounded by 3 men interrogating us on whether we were in the large group, whether we were staying at the hotel, which room, what we wanted to eat. At no point did they welcome us or encourage us to stay for dinner. We were chaperoned around the buffet and told where to sit.
The best things on offer was the non Egyptian bread (think Sainsbury or Walmart quality) kofta and fish fingers. The Dates tasted like they had been frozen and taken out to be defrosted and served. They were large, shiny and as dry as nails. We are by the sea and there wasn't a single fresh fish option on offer, which was really disappointing.
So Easter weekend is a busy time in this part of the world this year for all religions and its high season for non British travellers- who had come in large groups. We felt as though not being part of the group made us less worthy of staff engagement. On multiple occasions we were asked to wait for responses from staff while they dealt with the groups. At dinner, we even told to sit away in the uncovered section of the restaurant because they were 'expecting a large group and it would be better for us'.
The tour assistant (sits in the shop next to the reception)is a bit wishy-washy with advise-focusing on the most expensive option. The Canyon safari (white, red, mushroom and lunch tour) cost $45 USD with him, but we went into town, where everyone offered it for $25 USD.
The tour assistant behaved extremely unprofessional towards the end. We sought advise on getting to the airport following heavy rain and road closures. He advised that despite the heavy rain he had connections to the airport. The cost ranged from $25-100 US over the space of two hours. He just kept changing the price, never considered safety or advised of alternative options. In the end, a local tai driver with little English called Ahmed- advised us to ignore the offers and take a bus and took us into town and showed us the two bus options. Its the level of honesty that I wished the hotel advisor provided. As for reception- they would not get involved.
Save yourself the time and energy, stay closer to town and engage with local people interested in treating you as they would everyone else. Food is better and so is...

This was our first visit to Dahab, and surprisingly, it brought us the strong feeling that we will return!
First Impression: After the long road, we felt that we were taken care of, thanks to Mohamed. We received the keys to our room in the morning and had an opportunity to check in comfortably. Later, Mohamed was a person who we could always reach out to and be sure that all of our issues would be resolved.
Hotel room: Nothing special, a plain room for the comfortable stay of 2 people. Only small details can be improved, for example, towel hooks in the bathroom and AC with a lower temperature. We really appreciated everyday cleaning, including towels and bed changing.
Sea and beach: The hotel beach is huge, allowing everyone to choose their comfortable spot. The beach is very clean, sandy, and the swimming area is also comfortable for kids and people who are not good at swimming. You can feel safe and comfortable because of Mohamed and his lifeguard team - they are very attentive and take good care of the guests. Maher even taught me how to swim, even though no one in my life previously succeeded in it. Huge thanks!
Entertainment: During our first day, we met Ahmed from the entertainment team. He made our stay here unforgettable! He was very kind, pleasant to talk to, always proposed us different kinds of interesting activities, and did his best to make us feel comfortable. Thank you!
Beach bar: This was definitely one of the treasures of this hotel. Nagy is a very attentive person, very kind, friendly, and experienced. Even though we do not drink alcohol, Nagy always found a way to surprise us with his masterpieces based on plain sprite or juice. Thank you for bringing us a lot of smiles!
Kitchen and restaurant: The food is pretty plain, but everything was super tasty. The grill and barbecue were presented every evening serving delicious meat. The only improvement I can mention is that it would be nice to see a bigger variety of seafood, not only fish.
If you want to rest with your soul in a very peaceful and positive place, this one is definitely for you then. Maybe I did not put all the names here, but I would like to thank all of the hotel staff - they are amazing, very open, friendly, and welcoming people. They are one of the biggest reasons for the energy of this place. Thank you! Sending hugs! And looking forward to coming back!...
