I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The hotel looks charming with its oriental style and is comfortable with generously spacious rooms and terraces. The room is comfortable and has everything you might need on your holiday, the bed is soo comfy! The rooms are clean, the cleaning service very good - thanks for your service, Mohamed! The beach is beautiful, nice views on the blue lagoon and the mountains, the water is clear. The beach is clean, taken great care of by Mr Khaled and his team. Beach and pool bars are worth visiting, all the staff are very helpful and remember your favourite drinks; thank you, Mohameds and Josef! I cannot complain about the food or the service in Flavours restaurant. I especially loved the soups, my fav was lentil soup, yummy! The food was delicious, always plenty to choose from. All the waiters were very attentive and friendly. I must also mention the bar and Beshoy, who is the best bartender and a great entertainer! Really the right man on his place! The receptionists are great, too - Zaid was super helpful and very kind as well as Mohamed (?not sure about his name, however, he used to work at Bayview hotel in Taba Heights). I can also recommend the spa and the masseurs; their massages are out of this world. The only thing that wasnt that good was animation - Mostafa did a few short activities during the day, like aquagym or stretching, but when he left, there were no activities at all during the day; the animation team succked. ( animation isnt necessary for me and therefore I didnt mind the lack of activities) Overall, Safir is a comfy hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday where you can unwind and feel pampered. I will definitely go back! I actually can't wait! :-)

The hotel has its own exotic vibe which I think would be the perfect site for a white lotus series. I enjoy the chilling vibe here and the nice beaches. The staff were super friendly! To add on it, we went for PADI AOW diving course and the diving centre is 2mins walk from our room which was super convenient!! We stayed for four nights. What could have been better are: 1. The variety of the breakfast which we got bored of after two days. 2. They start playing Arabic music to engage guests (dancing by the pool) every evening which sometimes disturbed the tranquility of the resort - you can easily hear it from the beach or the balcony. 3. On arrival we were told we couldn’t get the separate beds as we noted on booking, and we waited for 40mins+ from arrival until fully settled down (including the time to get the staff helped us to add an extra bed.) (The second day we successfully changed our room- thanks!) 4. Additionally when I asked the canteen to borrow a big bowl for my instant noodles when Im starved after diving (and the canteen wasn’t open that time) and I was surprised that they didn’t have one. I had to take a taxi to city centre for food which is 10mins drive away. 5. We stayed in room 1303 and the water drainage was bad - the water in the shower room takes ages to go down.

I recently stayed at Safir Resort Dahab and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The resort is beautifully designed, combining modern luxury with the laid-back charm of Dahab. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and offer breathtaking views of the Red Sea — perfect for watching the sunrise or just relaxing on the balcony. What truly sets this resort apart is the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure every part of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was arranging excursions, recommending local spots, or simply ensuring we had everything we needed, they were always happy to help. The resort’s private beach area is pristine and peaceful, ideal for swimming or just lounging under the sun. The pool area is equally inviting, with plenty of space and a great atmosphere. Food was delicious with a wide variety of local and international options, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. Overall, Safir Resort Dahab is a gem — whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, or a base for exploring the incredible diving and snorkeling in the area. I can’t recommend it highly enough and look forward to coming back soon.

A Complete Disappointment – Far From a 5-Star Experience

We stayed at this resort as part of our honeymoon in Dahab, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had in Egypt—and that includes some 3-star transit hotels.

From the moment we arrived, it was one issue after another. Our first room had a clogged shower that leaked and flooded the bathroom. We were told it would be fixed while we were at the beach, but we returned four hours later to find it in the exact same condition. After several calls, someone finally came, spent two minutes inside, left muddy boot prints throughout the room—and the problem remained unresolved.

We were then told we would be moved to a new room the next morning at 8 AM. Since we had an excursion booked for 8:45, we stressed the importance of being on time. Despite reminders, no one came. At 8:40, we had to carry our own bags to reception to finally be relocated—without even seeing the new room.

Upon returning from our trip, we discovered the new room had the exact same shower issue—still flooding, still clogged, still with hair from the previous guest. Our travel agency intervened, and we were offered yet another room change. Shockingly, the only options were either two double beds or an “upgraded” room that we were expected to pay extra for—just to get a functioning shower and a single bed for a newlywed couple. After much back and forth, we were moved to a supposedly upgraded room, which was essentially the same with a hammock added. The shower finally worked—small relief after days of inconvenience.

That night, we returned from dinner to find our key card no longer working. We had to walk across the entire resort to get it fixed before finally ending the day.

The next day, room service completely mishandled our order when my wife ordered in English. They even sent only one set of cutlery for two people.

Then came breakfast. We arrived at 6:40 AM and were told omelettes were unavailable until 7, only to see the chef preparing them for what appeared to be VIP guests or friends while we were denied the same service. If a service is closed, it should be closed for everyone.

We did speak with the hotel manager, who was kind and apologetic. She offered a free upgrade for a future visit—but no compensation for the stress and time lost. She did promise us breakfast boxes with specific food requests for our early airport transfer.

On the day of checkout at 4:30 AM, there were no breakfast boxes ready. The receptionist couldn’t find the bill for the incorrect room service order. I paid the charge without knowing if it was corrected. When the box finally arrived, we realized on our way to the airport that none of the promised items were included.

Even in the final moments, the hotel found a way to disappoint. I have not included everything given the length limit of this review, but there was more to be said.

I rarely write negative reviews, especially knowing the impact they can have on tourism, but in this case, it felt absolutely necessary. The grounds may be beautiful, and the beach may be nice—but don’t let that fool you. This resort is far from a 5-star experience. Save yourself the stress and...

We had an absolutely unforgettable time at Safir and can’t wait to return! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing, the facilities were top-notch, and every detail of the resort made our stay special.|A standout highlight for us was the Mango Day – what a fantastic concept! The dinner spread was a dream for mango lovers, and we especially enjoyed the mango cheesecake and knafeh dessert, which was undoubtedly one of the most delicious versions we’ve ever tasted.|The resort itself is stunning, with its private beach, heated pool, and beautiful architecture that truly elevates the experience. Every corner of the property is thoughtfully designed, ensuring both relaxation and enjoyment.|A heartfelt thank you to Hasan Abd al-Rahman from the cleaning team, who always made sure our room was spotless and even surprised us with towel art—whether it was a heart or a goose, it brought a smile to our faces each time!|Special mention also goes to Mr. Happy, who was a shining light in the dining area, and Chef Samy, who always delighted us with incredible meals. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Kurolus, Aziz, Mr. Gamil, and all the other wonderful staff members—your warmth and hospitality made a world of difference. We’re sorry we can’t remember every name, but we appreciated every one of you!|We’d also like to give a big thank you to Waleed from the pool/sea staff, and all the amazing guards who helped us feel safe and cared for during our stay. Last but certainly not least, a big shoutout to the animation team, especially Yousef, who made our stay even more fun and lively.|Although our overall experience was fantastic, we did encounter a slight issue with check-in. This was related to our Booking reservation, and I highly recommend avoiding booking through third-party partner offers, as they seem to create unnecessary complications. However, once the issue was resolved, everything else went smoothly, and the staff made sure we were well taken care of.|All in all, Safir Resort truly exceeded every expectation. We are already looking forward to...

Simple Review

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the view.

Food: -1/10 Staff Interactions: 0/10 Rooms: 3/10 Value for Money: 2/10 View: 10/10 Beach: 7.7/10 (due to trash in the water)

If you don’t mind being surrounded by loud Egyptian families, this is the place for you. The food is the worst I've had in Egypt. Skip the hotel's dining options and head to the boardwalk "El Mamsha" for much better food, even if it costs a bit more.

Detailed Review

This hotel’s strategy seems to be making money by being unclear and unhelpful. Here are the issues we faced and the excuses we were given:

Worst Food in Egypt: When we checked in, we upgraded to include dinner, knowing we had breakfast and lunch included. However, the next day, staff persistently interrupted us, claiming lunch wasn’t included. This behavior was insulting. The food resembled an overcooked buffet, recycled repeatedly. The manager claimed this quality was standard for nearby hotels, but that was not our experience.

Cash Misuse: My husband paid for a beach drink in cash, but the waiter kept the money and charged the drink to our room.

Reception Communication: Dealing with reception was frustrating, especially regarding payments. They made everything unnecessarily complicated, leading to confusion about charges. The only exception was a polite front desk staff member, Mohammed Saied, who was helpful but had difficulty communicating if you don’t speak Arabic.

Trash in the Water: Although the beach is beautiful, trash was often left behind by guests, even with nearby trash cans. We tried to clean up as much as we could.

Recommendation: Only come here if you’re okay with potential scams and poor service. The view is stunning, but that’s the only redeeming quality. For everything else,...
