Though the hosts are lovely and these little cottages with their tiny double beds are so well thought out and cute we cannot recommend staying here. We booked for 3 nights and cancelled after one. It was frightfully cold and the noise was AWFUL. I have lived in a house with no windows with a cockerel outside the room and this was worse!
There is no sound-proofing to speak of and in real terms the bed nearest the door is a metre from the busy road. In the evening there was what sounded like a karaoke bar, there were frequently big lorries and noisy motorbikes going past all night which kept waking us up. There were also many trucks selling wares with people shouting out like at a market. There was a girl repeatedly honking a horn to sell breads from before it was light in the morning.
The host recognised it could get quite noisy (!) and offered us alternative accommodation. Airbnb refunded our costs but wouldn't publish my review (very similar to this) because it was "biaised". Reviews are opinions based on experience so yes subjective, but not biaised. As i said the hosts were very nice and the place was cute. It was just impossible to sleep well, which is kind...
Read moreWe arrived for 1 night and stayed for 2. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The room is clean, well equipped, and spacious with a nice shared garden in the back. We received a welcome message from the oweres with lots of local information, places to visit which was both helpful and made us feel even more welcome. The location is quiet and well located to restaurants, shops, atm. Ataco was our favourite town we stopped in during our week in El Salvador. Friendly, safe and with lots to see and do during the day with in a short drive, I would personally recommend to stay 3 days, visit the many coffee plantation and producers, restaurants, towns and adventure parks in the area. I didn't take any photos of the room as the pictures are actually...
Read moreVery bad service! I booked it thru Airbnb using “instant book” a day before check-in (“instant book” means that the place is available to host you, I book it like this for years and it always worked). But next morning they informed me that there no rooms available (somehow there were available rooms on Airbnb and on Booking for this date).
Ok, anyway, the host had to cancel the booking, but HE DID NOTHING, just asked me to cancel it by myself (which is impossible) AND stopped chatting with me after this!
I had to spend my time looking for a new place to stay and spent tones of time to get my money back from Airbnb, chatting with the support! Why should I spend my time and waste my money (I didnt get them back still) just because of...
