TL;DR Reasonable pricing. Many types of pupusas. Comfortable setting. Very kind staff. Pretty good tasting revueltas.
Location: We were recommended this restaurant from a street vendor, who said many people came to this location. It was a bit more hidden from the city centre but it wasn't hard to find either. There was a nice painted wall at the entrance, with a bench and live plants, which made good for picture taking. The restaurant is a bit crammed but only because it had lots of seating and tables. They had a washroom room hidden in the back, besides the kitchen. There is also a small dog that seems to live there that stays around the entrance.
Service: The staff were kind and welcoming, as well as very helpful when it came to answering questions about the menu.
Food: We travelled throughout El Salvador eating pupusas and this restaurant was probably in our top 5. The chicharon was okay but the revueltas were really good. They have a huge list of types of pupusas so you can give different ones a shot with the confidence that at least the revueltas would be good.
Ultimately, if I was in the area then I would go back and try different types of pupusas and maybe order...
Read moreBest pupusas I’ve had (ever), and some of the best food I’ve had in Central America. Super light and delicious, full of flavour. Don’t get stodgy like pupusas sometimes can! The salsa and slaw was perfect as well.
Lemonade was fresh and extremely refreshing as well.
It’s a family owned place and they make you feel really welcome on arrival. We will be back...
