Las Casitas Hostal Ataco — Hotel in Departamento de Ahuachapán

Let's see..... Where do I start? I had a private room and bathroom. Small and modest but clean and cozy. No air-conditioning, but I didn't need it. It has a little bar where you can chat with other guests and the owner, who speaks fluent English. He is actually in the coffee business, so if you ever wondered about that, he is a wealth of knowledge. And or course the coffee served here is superb! The best I've ever had. Unfortunately I did not have time to take his coffee tour, but I'll be back to do so.

I travel by motorcycle and appreciate the secure parking. No doubt he has room for a few cars as well. This place is like a fortresses of tranquility!

When I was there, unfortunately the internet wasn't working. Not sure if this is a temporary situation or not. Just mentioning this incase you need to get some work done, you might want to bring your hotspot. Cell service was adequate.

Google maps has the location correct, but not the public entrance. If you go to the main road, you will see a small driveway. Here is a buzzer/bell you can ring...

I totally changed my mind on this place the third time I visited!!! The bathroom was dirty and the beading look like they did not changed the towels were raggedy and I could feel the springs of the mattress poking me all night. I will never come back. Instead of getting better this place is more like a auto motel with the difference with the difference that the auto motel has air conditioning and this place doesn't so if you visit this place on a hot month you are going to be sweating all night. Our staying at this hotel was amazing the staff were very polite, as soon as we got here, they offered to help us with our bags, gave us the room, very clean room with hot water, they offered us an amazing delicious coffee , as we were drinking our coffee, Miguelito one of the staff offered to sing a song for us, he us very talented with an amazing voice. The game room was great we had a blast. We also enjoyed the area around inside and out , is amazing and it feels great.
