First of all, the house does not look in reality as it does on the picture - and not the rooms either. On the outside the house looks considerably much older in reality, and especially the kitchen looks nothng like on the picture on the hostel's website. The room itself was apparently newly renovated and was thus up to a good standard. On the other hand, there was no table or cupboard in the room, only one armcahir and a closet where you could only hang clothes. Also, the room should have been cleaned once a day, even though we only stayed for 2 nights, since the floor was getting dirty. However, no cleaner was to be seen. Same applies for the bathroom.||The wi-fi was not wroking on the 5th floor, so we were told to go to the kitchen if we wanted to use the net, as wi-fi was working best there. In fact, it was probably the only place where the wi-fi was working. The kitchen was quite disgusting, with very poor hygiene. Certainly not a place where you would want to cook anything.||Also for some reason we had to pay in advance, which was not so good considering we had to pay for 2 nights even before spending 1 night at the hostel. We would never had stayed for the second night otherwise. Also, the neighbors were shouting in the middle of the night and the landlord himself was shouting at one point in the corridor. Certainly not a place I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a pleasant stay. On the other hand if you are only looking for a place to sleep and would like to stay close to the bus station, then this could be an...
Read moreWhen me and my friend arrived at Hostel Tallinn in March this year, the first thing we smelled in the entrance was urine. The whole building is very run-down and our room was so dirty! We had a twin room with a TV for 38€ per night. The interieur itself was OK for that price, but everything smelled like cold smoke and was dirty. You could clearly see that nobody even hoovered there before. Dirt from at least three weeks of living in this room was on the floor and i found hairs from at least two different persons in my bed. Long bright red and short dark.|When we told the guy at the reception about the situation he came to the room with us to look at it and said that he wouldn't understand the problem, that we could not expect more for that price and that all the other rooms looked like this one as well!|So we asked for our money back, got it, left and found a perfectly fine hotel in the city centre for...
Read moreThe hostel can be ok for one night in a shared room (14€) if you don't expect so much; but 38€ or 29€ for a double and single room I consider it's expensive according to the facilities.||GOOD POINTS|- Well connected. In front of the bus station and close to the airport (less than 5 minutes by bus).|- For one night, it's not far to the old town (20 min. by walk)|- Wi-Fi|- You can keep your luggage in the reception after the check-out.||NEGATIVE POINTS|- Not very clean. The garbage can had some rubbish inside, the floor wasn't clean and the shower neither.|- Receptionists are not very friendly, specially one of them. |- The reception closes at 1am and nobody tell you how to open the door.|- Weird atmosphere. For sure it's not a young hostel. Once we arrived at 23.30 and there're 2 old people drinking beer alone.|- No coffe or tea, but all the bottles of beer...
