Our experience with Hotel F1 was good but there were few things we won't aware of for example, if you need an extra pillow, you need to ask them in the morning and but in the afternoon. Another one was coffee, the machine makes horrible coffee. Sorry to put it this way. Maybe we all got different tastes. The lifts are too busy for example if you are in level 1 and you want to go to the ground floor. You have to wait because the lift is small and patrons coming from levels above makes the lift full. We waited long before we found space in the lift. The heater in our rooms was not working, but the blankets were warm enough . The tv channels are all in french. However, the location is good. Just outside is the bus station and if you can find the right bus connection, this can help you a lot. The showers are hot during winter which is great. There is a storage place to store your luggage if you are early when your room is not available yet. The price is reasonable. We stayed two nights. We had to share the bathrooms and toilets. They were averagely clean. It would have been helpful if there was a hangout place in the foyer so we can hangout and look at our maps and stuff. They have a small foyer but it was used by people who were waiting for their rooms. Another good thing was that the reception guys spoke English and that helped us a lot.

I don't have a lot to say other than I'm glad I didn't pay to stay there. I helped my nephew and his son get there. He'd reserved online quite a while ago. I don't know how much he paid but I'm positive it was too much for an extremely ugly room. I'll post a picture of the "interesting" wallpaper which is everywhere. One towel per bed. Maybe there were two on the double. But that's it. It spoke of hair dryers but we certainly couldn't find one. I noticed that in the room with two single beds pushed together like a double bed, on the side where I was sitting you couldn't control the light. It was on the other side of the other bed. On the other hand the plug for charging phones were on the side where I was sitting so his wire would have to go over me if I were sleeping there. There was a small bathroom and it did at least have toilet paper but nothing else such as shampoo or even hand soap. It was quite a strange place which I suppose is fine for many people but as I said I'm glad my plans changed and I'm on a train to another adventure. My nephew will certainly be leaving his own review after actually staying there.

It's always hard to evaluate 1 star hotels, let's try. The place was recently renovated and the hall and rooms are new. When I booked the only options I had online were rooms without toilet and shower, so I didn't realize that there was this option. Acknowledging the room I went to the reception to try to change rooms: that night they were full but the next they were able, and I just paid 17 euros difference. It's not so close from metro station, but there is tram not far. The breakfast is very good for this type of hotel, but no cheese nor ham available. And you can enjoy the tranquility of the neighborhood as there is a cemetery just beside. 😁

Let me start by saying MY LUGGAGE WAS STOLEN. Only good thing about this place is the location. We checked in - fully aware our room wouldn’t be available - the only reason we booked this was they provided us with a ‘secure and trusted’ luggage storage room with CCTV. After dropping my bag off and spend the day enjoying the tourist attractions we headed back to the hotel to collect our belongings and to go to our room. Once we handed our cloakroom tickets back, they did not check the numbers and for the staff to tell me my things were gone. As it became very quickly visible they were allowing customers to enter the locked room unattended to help themselves. Once I reported this to the reception they then began to tell me there was nothing I could do until the next day so they could review CCTV. This was extremely distressing for me as I had no clean clothes or any toiletries anymore. The following day they then checked CCTV and told me they couldn’t do anything but tell me to go to the police. At this point I was disgusted at the staff for lying to me saying they could do something and then fobbing me off for all my luggage. After requesting multiple times to put in a formal complaint about the team member who allowed the thieving customer take my items without checking the cloakroom tickets I went back to my room crying AGAIN. After an hour of nothing but heart ache of having nothing I had a knock at my door from the hotel staff. They had my belongings with them and began to tell me they ‘found in the storage room’ but asked me to check if all was there. As I checked my hand luggage, I was missing my pyjamas and I had also had a handbag of the person who had taken it. I handed this bag back in so they could return it to the said thief. After telling them the female had also taken my pyjamas (why I don’t know) and then gave me th le back the following day. Not to also mention my Dr Martens Sinclair boots were also taken and had been returned unlaced - not how I left them. Her belongings were in my bag so she clearly had intention of taking them until I mentioned at high volume police will be involved. Staff DO NOT care about your things and are only there for the money. Disgusting company and poor quality staff. Should be shut down if I’m honest, I will now NEVER return to Paris. Our corridor also STANK of body odour and the shared showers were also unclean with used plasters on the floor. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - use somewhere else or lose your stuff. It’s as simple as Ps our room had a beautiful view of a mile long grave yard with active grave digging, so enjoy waking up...

I have tried to base my review on the factors which the hotel (hostel) does have control of and ignore the views of other guests. ||The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful speaking fluent English. We got some free towels (normally chargeable) and a room to store our luggage on our last day. The public areas are clean and tidy with a classy uniform wallpaper design throughout. We didn’t take any food instead opting to use the nearby Lidl for croissants and baggets although I think it was an option. The rooms were small with a sink, blackout blind, opening window, functional bed and an uncontrollable vent. There were four showers and three toilets per floor for communal use. The flat roof outside the window was strewn with rubbish (condom packet one of the more unpleasant), the bed was comfortable without being anything more there was no mattress protector (so I can understand the basis for other reviews) and the vent was continuously noisy - good job we were tired! The showers were clean and powerful if not a little too hot, the toilets however were often reduced to one as they were blocked and unsanitary. ||The area outside is the bottom end of pooville (I can’t use other language) arriving my heart sank although I was aware the outskirts of Paris are often questionable for tourists, it isn’t an area I’d want to be alone in at night. The reason for us booking here was the availability of a car park. The parking is two basement levels immediately below the hostel (not clear on booking) accessible by foot through a number of (broken) QR code security doors with nobody answering the intercom. The car exit had a metal gate and the entry a barrier so overall I guess very secure! but it is disgusting which doesn’t give you a feeling of security. Leaking pipes and a stench of urine in the stairwell complemented with walls covered in I don’t want to know what! ||It’s not luxury, it’s functional. You are in an (expensive) capital city and you pretty much get what you pay for, you’ve got to adjust your expectations. It was a good base for our two day trip in the city via a twenty...

I’m not even sure where to begin, but I’ll start with the main issue. The man at the reception desk, Christoph (or so I heard) — a black man wearing glasses — is absolutely unfit for his position. He seems to be there just to collect his salary rather than assist guests. His behavior was extremely rude and dismissive.

When I asked him a simple question about breakfast time, he told me it would be on the “zero.” I tried to clarify whether he meant the ground floor or something else, but instead of helping, he became visibly irritated and responded in a disrespectful tone, implying I was asking something stupid. I was simply a guest asking for basic information, and I was met with rudeness.

But unfortunately, this wasn’t the only issue. When a girl from our group asked him for a hairdryer, he flat-out said there were none in the hotel. The next day, however, another receptionist gave us one without any problem — clearly, hairdryers were available all along.

Christoph also claimed there was no hot water, even though we later discovered a free hot water machine that worked perfectly. All this information, which should have been offered proactively or upon simple request, was only revealed once he was off duty.

It appears that Christoph either deliberately misinforms guests or simply refuses to help them. This kind of behavior is entirely unacceptable, especially for travelers unfamiliar with the country and relying on the hotel staff for assistance.

Because of this one staff member, I cannot recommend your hotel, even though other aspects may have been satisfactory. I urge you to take this feedback seriously and take appropriate action, as such unprofessional conduct seriously damages the reputation of your...
