With the town of Luberon overlooking this quaint campsite, Le Vallon is, like its website advertises, a place to relax (and certainly a journey to get to which is an advantage). This is a campsite among the best but still feels rustic. The bathrooms are good, the shower fine (a push-button, yes, but, ce la vie) but the view is spectacular. We had a nice campsite, set off by a large bush and there is plenty of greenery to go around. And, as I mentioned, overlooking it all, is Luberon. We thought it would be quite a hike to the old city, but it was super easy. One unique item: they have a natural pool fed by a spring and filtered by a plant. My wife and I love this; we went three times. Yes, it has a green appearance but don't be put off. For the more adventurous, they have gypsy wagons, yurts and cabin/tents for rent. We really enjoyed our stay here. The campsite was quite, green and we loved hearing the church toll out the hour. Wonderful place! We even had a fruit picker working in the area drop off free...
Read moreWe stayed at this campsite for the third time in two years this summer. as always the basic facilities were clean and the owners were always helpful. The site is ideally situated a short walk from the picturesque hilltop village of Bonnieux, where there is a small supermarket, bars, restaurants and plenty of history! Bread, croissants, pain au chocolat etc, are available to order for the next morning at reasonable prices. Free WiFi at reception is as very welcome addition as is the well stocked multilingual library.||The campsite is in easy reach of Lac de la Bonde, a great swimming lake, other hilltop villages of Lacoste, Menberbes and great markets in Apt, Isle Sur La Sorgue and Cavillon (lookout for truffle tasting in the tourist office on market days).||We look forward to visiting again this year, unfortunately not in cherry season, which are in plentiful supply in the cherry orchard during...
Read moreWe stayed in this campsite for 10 nights and we were sad to leave. There’s so much to do in and around Bonnieux. The owner was very welcoming and always around if we needed help with anything. Bread can be ordered the day before and collected the next morning. Breakfasts are available as are ice creams and various wines. There is no shop on site but it’s not that far to a small but well stocked supermarket in Bonnieux. All pitches were of a good size. We had space for our Campervan, awning at the side and a 2.5x2.5m standalone tent. The Wi-Fi was stable and surprisingly good for a campsite. The sanitary block is very clean but could do with modernisation. The showers were “variable”. That was about the only downside in fact. We had a great holiday there and would go back again and would recommend...
