Good food, poorly managed We ate here last night. First, let me start by saying we would have been very happy to say this feedback in person, but we were not even asked at the end when we paid how our experience was by the maître d’hôte. Positive points: -the setting is beautiful, absolutely dreamy and unique. -the food was delicious, and the flavours were expertly matched Negative points: -we ordered the matching wine menu (which is 95 euros per person, so quite a treat!) but the wines were always served much later than the plates. We had to wait 5 min each time for our wine, so by the time we got our wines the hot plates were cold. I have never seen it done this way at such a high-rated restaurant… for dessert, which included ice cream, we waited so long I had to ask the waiter for it, he had clearly forgotten and then he brought only one glass, forgetting my husband’s… there many waiters around but they were not very attentive to us. -overall the service was very unequal. Some members of the staff were lovely (like the charming lady who brought us the cheese tray). Others were barely cordial. There is a lack of management behind the staff. -The manager (maître d’hôte) was lacking in our opinion. There were many miscommunications (like at the beginning, we had asked about the wine matching menu and he just assumed that’s what we would have without properly asking for our order which left us baffled for the first few appetizers, unsure if we had placed our order or not), lack of coordination with the team (we spent the whole night with the waiters behind our back arguing about what needed to be done for which table, quite a stressful experience). Finally, a proper manager is here to listen to complaints: he could clearly see some things had gone amiss, but he burried his head in the sand and did not even ask us about our night, or experience and rushed us out when we paid. -one last little thing: we went there for our first year anniversary so for a special occasion, which I had mentioned in the booking, and they could clearly see us exchanging gifts. Not once did they say “oh what’s the special occasion?” “Happy anniversary “… This is usually one of the little touches at a restaurant of this class that makes you have a special night.
We left frustrated because so many elements of the night were there to make it an exceptional experience, but we felt a bit robbed because of the...

We had 8:00 reservations, got served an amuse bouche and slice of bread fairly quickly but then were ignored for the next 1.5 hours. As the waiters and staff were scurrying about, we sat and waited. Finally, at 9:30 or so we received our first course.
Some of the courses were flavorful but the overall meal was less than stellar. We chose the vegetarian menu and the chef seemed to struggle with trying to present flavorful and creative courses using the non-meat ingredients. The courses blended together with no difference in textures and foam seemed to be the only creative option as three straight courses were dominated by foam.
Also one of our party had a food allergy and the entire table received the mediocre substitute. There was no depth of flavor in the broth used. The dessert was fair at best. We received our last dessert course at 12:20 a.m. and for the last 40 minutes or more we were the only people in the restaurant. People who had reservations later than us were long gone.
During the meal there was never an attempt to clean any of the crumbs that had built up around the table and every time a new slice of bread was dropped on my plate, it landed in the pool of water that had spilt there with no attempt to provide another dish. I never was able to get the attention of the staff to change the dish, such was the helter-skelter nature of the service.
Also when we arrived there was no one to greet us, we wandered around a bit looking for someone to check us in.
The service was atrocious and the food not up to...
Read moreA wonderful Michelin 2 stars restaurant with a stunning view and a peaceful environment. Service is good. Most dishes were very good. But what’s the most amazing for the dining experience was certainly the well cultivated environment - a garden, an outdoor area looking over the valley and landscape of small villages of Provence, very a comfortable dining hall, and etc. The dishes certainly are worth the 2 stars. A great place to dine in the among Southern France’s many...
