Terrible all around! I've worked in many restaurants and can't comprehend why any of these rude and racist individuals are "working" in customer service. It was almost like a game..how long will this table of people sit here and be treated like garbage before they say something or leave (we did both thank goodness). Very weird behavior from waiter, cook and hostess (three of six of us speak French) and we were blatantly ignored as everyone else seated after us was waited on and served. Finally..they told us they ran out of pizza as others were served pizza?? Then said they ran out of tomatoes, oh wait the manager was having an issue and the waiter had to take a phone call and the hostess had nothing to do with it. So bizarre....almost laughable. We were offered two overpriced pasta dishes which i would have been afraid to consume at that point. My sister in law has lived in France and visited multiple times and has never had such a bad experience in her life. Such a shame because the view and town are stunning. Your establishment is a disgrace to this beautiful country! Elles...
Read moreBeen to a place where it beckons you to sit down and enjoy the view while having a coffee? We found one of such places. We have been to Bonnieux before, however Brasserie La Terrasses (was La Terrazza di Bonnieux) was closed. Luck was on our side this time. Sat down and decided to have breakfast. From the terrace, which stretches for at least 50 meters along the road, you could see another village built on a hill like Lacoste, farm lands and vineyards. We were also able to make out a tinge of purple, which made us wonder if those were lavender starting to bloom. My wife was especially keen to explore later, which indeed were early lavender blooms. Breakfast came with bread, an orange juice, a coffee and a generous helping of a variety of jam, in miniature jars. All for €7.50/ person. Many other guests were also enjoying the view from the terrace like us. If you are visiting the region, plan your trip to cover a few villages like Lourmarin, Bonnieux and Lacoste. All could be...
Read moreA very disappointing experience. Having booked in person 3 days before and expressly asking for a terrace table for 11 people and after being seated at our table for 10mins, the ‘head’ waiter asked us to move inside. They apparently knew before but were “unable” to dial an international mobile number and unable to tell us upon arrival that they had messed up/double booked. My suspicion is that they had a local/regular client ask at the last minute and they thought they could move the British without too much agro… Well this French speaking Brit told them exactly how poor their service was and we ended up leaving because of the rude ginger haired waiter who tried to make out it wasn’t their fault! Could have been handled so much better. Perhaps the owner should consider some customer satisfaction training for...
