Hotel Omma — Hotel in Apt

Perched atop an ochre escarpment in the middle of town, this hotel occupies the premier location in Roussillon. The hotel is a tastefully modernised and well run veteran of many campaigns that is probably the best that the town has to offer. ||The good: checkin was efficient and welcoming, our junior suite “Gourdes” was roomy (by French standards), clean, quiet, bright, comfortable and nicely appointed. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. The king bed was comfortable, the linens crisp and clean and we were each able to find a favourite pillow. The bathroom is light, modern and well appointed, and the plumbing worked fine. This room looked out across the scarp to Roussillon’s signature rainbow palisade. We were able to secure a spot in one of the limited onsite spaces. We took the (+cost) satisfactory continental breakfast served in the Omma Restaurant which was complimented by the stunning sun-streaked panorama across the Luberon. ||The not so good: hand-held shower/bath with no screen means that you need to shower with considerable care if you don’t want to saturate the bathroom floor. If you miss one of the limited – and compact – onsite carspaces then you’ll be parking on the edge of town a few hundred...

We stayed here in June 2025 for three nights. We reserved a “Charm Superior” room in this 3-star hotel. It was incredibly spacious, comfortable, very well appointed, and very clean. Our room had a mini refrigerator and a requested water kettle. The location was excellent for walking throughout this cute village. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and served in the hotel’s restaurant with amazing views of the ochre cliffs. The hotel’s dinner service was also delicious. The hotel staff members were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful (especially Lisa). We were glad to have reserved one of the hotel’s three parking spaces, which was conveniently located right next door to the hotel entrance. We highly...

Le Clos de La Glycine ist eines der schönsten kleinen Hotels, das wir auf unseren Frankreich-Reisen je kennengelernt haben. ||Das begründet sich einerseits auf die ziemlich privilegierte Lage mitten im alten Ortskern und gleich am Rande der berühmten "Ocker-Steinbrüche". Andererseits liegt das auch an dem wunderschönen Hotel selber, an dessen Klein-Struktur mit lediglich neun Zimmern und an der außergewöhnlichen Freundlichkeit sämtlicher Angestellten.||Unseren Deluxe-Raum (oder gar Suite?) im ersten Obergeschoss haben wir vor allem ausgesucht wegen der großen Terrasse. Und das hat sich gelohnt. Was gibt es denn Schöneres als bereits vor dem Frühstück und noch vor der drückenden Hitze des Tages aus dem Liegestuhl heraus das erste Morgenrot zu erblicken....||....oder am Abend noch -kurz vor Mitternacht- das letzte Gläschen Wein unterm Sternenhimmel zu genießen!||Roussillon ist zwar übrigens ein recht touristisches Örtchen, aber vielfach hat man es mit Tages-Ausflüglern zu tun, die busweise herangeschafft und auch wieder abgefahren werden. ||Und das nicht vor etwa zehn Uhr früh und nicht länger als etwa siebzehn Uhr am Nachmittag! In der restlichen Zeit kann man den Ort - als Übernachtungs-Gast - dann eher "für sich" genießen.||Im absolut empfehlenswerten hauseigenen Restaurant des "Clos de la Glycine" zum Beispiel. Bei köstlichem Essen, herrlichem Wein und erstklassigem Service........||Nach unserer Meinung sogar das beste Restaurant in Roussillon und ein Grund mehr, sich eben genau in diesem Hotel einzuquartieren.||Wenn man -wie wir- das Glück hat, einen kleinen schnuckligen Tisch auf der romantischen Restaurant-Terrasse zu ergattern und wenn einem dann -bei einem ja geradezu atemberaubenden Panorama - ein hervorragendes Dinner auf wirklich allerhöchstem Niveau serviert wird, was sollte man sich da sonst noch wünschen...?||Perfekt für Verliebte und für alle, die das Besondere am Leben zu schätzen wissen.||Klare...
