La Sirmonde — Restaurant in Apt

Dinner and dessert were so good our first time that my wife and I ate here twice in four days. We ordered La Sirmonde pizza both times because every component is brilliant – from the crust to the veggies and the olive oil, it was one of the best pizzas we've ever had.

For dessert, we had the creme brulee and chocolate fondant; both were amazing. The chocolate fondant was different from anything we've had before. It is similar to a lava cake, but the whole center is 'lava', and there is a thin cake-like shell holding it together.

The prices are reasonable and the staff is very nice. The Quiche was quite good, the chicken however came with a cold mushroom sauce that had more in common with cream cheese. The mustard covered chicken salad was straight up abominable with chicken nuggets instead of chicken breast as well as bread and white(!) potatoes without taste. The crème brûlée wasn't on a different level either while the fondant au chocolat was quite okay. The forgotten coffee...
