An interesting stay . As a silver Accor member I wasn’t overly impressed with the welcome.||. It’s not all about the free drink , which we didn’t get , but no advise offered re the local restaurants , places to go or even the free map which of course was in the information stand . But would have been a nice touch to have been offered it ||The room was clean . The towels and bed clean . However thankfully for us we are both 5 foot 1 thus the smallness of the room not a problem ||The bathroom is small and you have to have the door open for space . The shower is great though , hot and powerful . Towels fine ||The room walls are paper thin and noisy loud guests don’t give a good nights sleep . But for the price ok for overnight stop or our case two nights ||We had the breakfast which was worth it at 10euros . Selection of cold meats , bread , yoghurt , scrambled and boiled egg , pigs in blanket , meat and cheeses . croissant and cakes plenty of hot drinks and orange or apple juice ||For us the only side is the parking which effectively is not the hotels problem however you need to be aware . ||The parking at the back near Chemine de courtine isn’t safe . ||We had our van broken into and items stolen . At night the road is full of white vans offering “ladies” with the white light on for ‘services’ ||As I say not the hotels fault but I feel the need to share our break in so folks can avoid parking there . ||We ate at the Novotel a short walk up the road . Exquisite food and service and great price ||Forewarned is better than...
Read morePros: Typical Ibis hotel with good value for the money. Good breakfast. Clean room, decent bed, excellent staff. Free parking in the weekends around hotel. 15 mins to center and 5 min to train station.
Cons: From all the ibis hotels i've been around Europe this one has the worse shower type. The bathroom should be renovated as its a bit out of date, comparing to other Ibis hotels. I did not like the attitude of the staff for dogs inside the restaurant, for the morning breakfast. I don't mind dogs inside a restaurant or the fact that the owners feed them with food from the table. But i do mind when the owners will hand feed the dog with food, and without washing there hands they go to the Swedish buffet breakfast tables and take more food on the plate using there hands. So if the dogs has licked other 'things' early in the morning other lucky customers will have the same by just going for breakfast. This is quite serious for the hotels as some people might get sick. Not to mention that children eat there also and they can get sick quite easy, and this will end...
Read moreThere is an Ibis guarantee that if there is a problem "it is fixed in 15 minutes or you are our guest". Our room had this notice in twice, it was in the elevator and in the reception too.
Hotel had a towel shortage. After this was reported it was fixed.... 19 hours later after being chased twice. On checkout I mentioned this guarantee and receptionist took my number for the manager to call - he obviously never did.
The thing is that if it was just an apology the first time, I wouldn't mind and get over it - but the general attitude of the manager of this being my problem, asking "are you sure you have no towels?"... etc... a very dismissive person with no interest in their guests.
Rooms are tiny and bathrooms have an odour and a size of those you'd find on a cruise ship. You would have a better value stay at Ibis Budget next door....
