Matira Beach Bungalow — Hotel in Bora-Bora

First of all, we have to praise the hosts, Juliette and François. They were incredibly kind, caring, and always helpful.

The bungalow itself was absolutely stunning and very clean. Everything was perfectly organized down to the smallest detail. There were even flowers beautifully arranged in the rooms. Every corner of the bungalow was spotless and meticulously arranged.

The bathroom featured a fantastic shower, and the bedroom was equipped with air conditioning. Large windows made the space bright and airy. As if the interior weren’t already amazing, the view from the outdoor terrace is simply breathtaking. The bungalow offers an unobstructed view of the warer, practically at the southernmost tip, making it a very peaceful and serene location to relax. The water at Matira Beach is unbelievably beautiful.

In addition to the seating on the terrace, there are also two sun loungers, and the garden/outdoor area is also very clean. For water activities, kayaks are available. In the evenings, we enjoyed incredible nights under a clear sky full of stars.

Frank and Juliette’s bungalow is a treasure on the island. There are so many personal touches that make this place the place to stay when you come to Bora Bora. They offer free pick up and drop off from the boat transfer which made the process so smooth and easy. When we arrived, Frank explained everything and provided us with some delicious fresh fruit to welcome us. We made great use of the two bikes to explore the island as well as the kayak to explore the beautiful lagoon. Frank gave us some tips on where to snorkel near the bungalow and wow there were so many beautiful fish and coral! Another huge plus was the washer they provided. We can’t say enough good things about this wonderful AirBnb hosted by Frank & Juliette. Frank was always in communication with us and their son who lives on site made sure we had everything we needed, including play time with his puppy Rocky. The location in my opinion is the best on the island. Close enough to restaurants, groceries, and the stunning water of Matira beach, but far enough away to feel like you have your own private retreat. Being able to have an unobstructed view and to be able to get into the water just steps from the patio was incredible. We kayaked to the coral gardens, biked to the restaurants, and relaxed away from all the noise of traffic.
