We loved this hidden gem right across the street from the Hotel Matira, just south of the clothing store. It is cash only selling out of a small rectangular kiosk, with just a few items on the menu, and just a few tables just off the side of the road in a lush tropical environment. We had the fish sandwich with fries (ask for ketchup) and a grilled fish with a vegetable, along with a tropical fruit smoothie, all excellent. We added our own dark rum to the smoothie. each time, they gave us a couple of small bananas from their banana tree. Since we were unable to buy bananas at the local grocery stores, we asked to buy a small bunch from her and she was happy to oblige. Prices are not cheap and not expensive, reasonable for the quality. Read moreI went to bora bora on April 2025. Late night walk from our Airbnb across. My mother and I. We were welcomed by a young bora bora girl. Helping her mother late night sale food. She was accompanied by the cutest dog. The dog would stay by her side at all time. I took out my iPhone and told her, your dog looks like mine. Except my dog has green eyes & pink mouth. Hers was white , with black mouth and black eyes. I don’t know how she could be working at such a young age. She is brave little girl. She seemed happy to be the one charging. Read moreThis became our daily stop for coffees, fresh juice and food. Much better than the overrated “pizzeria” next door. Such a friendly and attentive service! You can easily miss it, and she’s usually not at the stand, but comes in a sec if you just ring the bell. We also ended up renting bikes from there, and there are also kayaks. Super flexible, and always comes with a smile. She ended up making half price coffee and giving us some fresh fruit on our last day.....
