I picked this place because it was dog friendly, had a restaurant and it was near to the airport.||||It was very difficult to find as my Sat Nav (updated only a few days before) did not have the location on it. It would be helpful if the hotel could point that out and perhaps give you directions. It is down a dead end in an industrial estate!||||As it turned out whilst the hotel itself was dog friendly there was nowhere nearby to take the dog for a walk it being an industrial area not even a piece of grassland except a little space around the hotel itself. They told me the nearest park was 5 kilometres away so I had to drive. Perhaps that was my fault for not doing my research.||||Anyhow the hotel itself is new, modern and the accommodation couldn't be faulted.||||When I arrived I was told that the restaurant was not open on a Friday evening - it is a pity they don't tell you that on the information before you book - which for me was a big black mark. They did indicate that the evening staff may be able to provide a pizza later but it seemed a bit random. Anyhow I got directions to a restaurant about a kilometre away so walked there only to find that it wasn't open.||||I walked back thinking that I would go for the offered pizza but when I got there they had decided to open the restaurant because there was a small party that had arrived and who wanted fed as well. It was a pity that they couldn't have offered that to me. However I did get fed after all.||||I was going to rate it as average due to the location, the problem with the restaurant and the poor information provided by the hotel however that seems a bit mean as it is certainly much better than the usual French hotel chains. It is certainly good but given that I did get something to eat at the end of the day and the staff were friendly and to some extent helpful I rate it as very good,...
Read moreI’m a nervous guy all things considered. Careful in selection and fearful in making wrong choices. That goes double for travel. I needed a night at a hotel near the airport to catch an early morning flight and I usually would’ve gone with the holiday inn but the price was a bit steep. Neither option is walking distance from the airport so I tried this one given the ratings were the same and the price was half as much. I can truly say this was the best stay I’ve ever had in a hotel a night before a flight out. Heck maybe even the best hotel stay ever. From the cleanliness of every detail to the freshness of the towels and the pleasant smells of some local fragrance, I was comfortable instantly. The front desk clerk was exceptionally hospitable even by American standards and I felt right at home from the second I walked in. If I could transport that room everywhere I went I’d sleep comfortably for the rest of my life. Didn’t have the breakfast so can’t say how it was. My only complaint is that I would’ve liked a mini fridge but I don’t think that’s...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located at the terminus of the tram (less than a 10-minute walk) which willtake you to the city centre in about 40 minutes, just make sure you don't miss the last tram to get back. It also has a free parking which is closed at night. We had a room on the ground floor and apart from the noise of slamming doors by guests (even during the night) and from guests staying in the connecting room, it was quiet. The room was basic, it's a 3-star hotel, but more than OK for our stay. A small fridge would be a nice addition. The breakfast was really good with enough choice for everyone. All staff members were friendly and helpful, proposing their help before you would ask them anything. There is not much to do in the area, also no restaurants but with the tram or your car it should not be a problem. One tip: if you like madeleines, I encourage you to visit the shop "Bijou" which is super close to the hotel - they are...
