Beautiful New Hotel But Never Ever Return -I Booked 4 nights stay in Deluxe Twin Bedded Room Eiffel Tower View - with walk-in shower (due to legs problem cannot use bathtub). Not only booked but e-mail proper information to the hotel for two separated bed due to 2 businessmen travelling together and walk-in shower due leges problem.) --- At check-in around 8.30pm, the prepared room was king size bed with walk-in shower. Check-in staff said, a solution will be possible after having dinner in the hotel restaurant and come back. We did that and she said and showed the last availability and last solution which was Twin bed with bathtub (No Walk-in Shower) and said, "All Twin Bedded Room in This Hotel only has Bathtub". This means
The first night at the balcony was not enjoyable due to the noise of Asian guests starting with C staying on ground floor room with terrace having party with 5-6 persons making so loud noise that I could not sit at the (supposed to be) peaceful hotel enjoying Eiffel Tower View.
After the first night stay and first day business, we returned back to the rooms at slightly before 5 p.m., the room was not yet clean
The second business day, we wanted to book the restaurant for VIP dinner of of 9 persons for with drinks at 6.15pm following by dinner and I called the hotel, first of all, no one answered the line in Restaurant reservation, I connected to Banqueting instead, the staff said, "I think the restaurant is fully booked." I had to insist whether You Think or It is REALLY Fully Booked. Then he said, he would called back. He never called back until 1p.m. and I called again then he said, he will call back by 3p.m. is the restaurant is available. If he does not call, it means not available. - See the level of service and professionalism. Finally, it is not available. I treat my VIPs at another place. I came back at around 9.30p.m. restaurant and bar were not busy AT ALL!
In the rooms, the bed set up was the worst I ever experienced staying in different hotel, the turn down service was only close the curtain and put a piece of cookie at bed-top no other things were touch up (for every night).
In the morning, we opened the curtained, one of our used coffee mugs is still dirty on the table of of the balcony. It means at least two times the housekeeping came in to the room for daily service and to close the curtain, they never paid attention to clean the mug. Moreover, coffee capsule were not refilled when we want to press the coffee. I had to call and request for it even it was promoted in the room description and I paid a lot of money for the room including the facilities.
The third day after business finished, we are back at the hotel at 4pm, housekeeping was cleaning the room. I asked in French, "how many minutes you need 15 or 30", she replied 2 minutes. I went down talked to the receptionist as this is the second time the room was clean very late. The receptionist said, it's not the hotel fault as we never mentioned what time we need the room to be cleaned. After 15 minutes passed, we went back to the room, no towels changed, no glassed clean, no water refilled.
I want to report these right away as no one in this place can solve any issue but create worse and worse experiences. This is before my departure tomorrow morning. I hope...
Read moreWell located, the domain is beautiful but not the hotel itself. The room was very simple, no wow element. It didn't have a lot of storage space. The bathroom door didn't close at all. There was an iron in the room but no ironing board, you had to ask for one at reception. The fitness room was very small and only had one treadmill, one stationary bike, and a few weights/resistance bands. We had booked a package of 1 hour massage and 1 hour access to the spa, starting at 3:30pm. Upon arrival, the man at reception told me he had it booked at 2:30pm (which was not the case on my confirmation email). So I asked him if we could reschedule to 5pm seeing as it was already 3pm. He said that it would be no problem and confirmed he had rescheduled the booking accordingly. At 3:45pm I received a quite abrupt email that the spa reception had tried to call me for my massage at 3:30pm, that they had gone to our room to look for us but because they couldn't find us we had to pay our massage anyway. We were in the fitness room. I went to the spa reception where they told me that only the spa access was moved to 5pm, not the massage. We still had 35 minutes left on our massage so we rushed through it. There was no apology from the hotel or commercial gesture for the clear misunderstanding (apart from the spa receptionist saying we could stay a little longer in the spa if we wanted). The yoga class on sunday morning was lovely but I had to pay for it a couple days after my stay, it wasn't part of my final bill at check-out which would have been appreciated. The restaurant was beautiful but the quality of the food was not matching the price, you can find better food for a lot cheaper easily. The breakfast was okay but we didn't have glasses on our table when we arrived (when all other tables did) and we had to help ourselves on another table as the waiters were not particularly attentive. The egg white omelet was lovely, and some of the bread (the baguette was dried and definitely not fresh from the morning). All and all, although the staff was nice and accomodation clean and comfortable, my stay was definitely not worth...
Read moreWe had high expectations for our Valentine’s weekend stay, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below a five-star standard (especially given the increased holiday rates).
The room was decent and clean, with a view of the Eiffel Tower on the third floor. However, the shower was leaking, there was no shower gel in the dispenser, and the Chromecast on the TV wasn’t working. A technician spent 30 minutes dismantling the TV, only for us to receive a call 20 minutes later informing us that it couldn’t be fixed. We were then moved to a ground-floor room with no view.
Beyond this incident, the overall experience lacked the level of service and atmosphere expected from a luxury hotel. The spa area, including the sauna and steam room, was far too small; more than four people felt crowded. The pool was also not heated enough to be comfortable.
For dinner, we had booked both the restaurant and the rum bar in the reconverted chapel, which we were especially looking forward to. The meal itself was fine, but the ambiance was completely off. Instead of a romantic setting, the restaurant was brightly lit, with funk music playing, creating a cafeteria-like atmosphere. The rum bar was just as disappointing; fully illuminated like a waiting room, missing any warm, intimate lighting. Seated in a cold spot, we waited 15 minutes for the only staff member available to explain the rum selection, but he was busy with other guests, so we left.
The next morning, breakfast was another letdown. While the food was fine, the restaurant was overcrowded and noisy, with an open kitchen disrupting any sense of a peaceful morning. We had hoped for a relaxing breakfast with a nice view before heading back to the city, but that was far from the reality.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but the lack of attention to detail, poor ambiance, and service missteps made for an underwhelming stay—not at all the luxury experience we expected for a special occasion, especially for the...
