I'm not one to write bad reviews- check my other reviews. I feel I'm fair and honest. I wouldn't reccomend this hotel. I booked here 26th to 28th May. First night aircon wasn't working but I thought maybe it's our fault we got the settings wrong when we woke up in the middle of the night baking. Second night on Saturday 27th we got to hotel around 6pm. The lobby was so cool with the aircon we asked the young boy on reception how to set it and he showed us. We went up to room and set it like he showed us but it wouldn't work. We called him up and he came and said it's broken and he would get a fan. We then called down 15 minutes later to see if could switch rooms as I suffer from a pollen allergy and opening a window wasn't an option explaining if sneeze and eyes start streaming. He said no fully booked but we agreed we'd wait for fan. At 10/1030pm my partner went down for smoke and ask for fan and another man was on reception. He said all aircon in hotel is broken being fixed tomorrow and no fan available. We said this is not ok and he said speak to someone in morning. We spoke to man in morning at checkout he said nothing can be done as we booked via expedia so we should contact them. I contacted expedia who made contact with hotel who said they don't do anything. So basically we've just been mugged off and now we're not in the country anymore nothing can be done. The room wasn't a advertised. I could not open window due to medical allergies. No fan was given. In fact of the young boy had been courteous enough to come back and say there is no fan we should have changed hotels for the night but the fact that we found this out nearly at 1030pm at night it was impossible.
Absolutely disgusting service. Seems if things are good they're fine but if they're not then you're on your own and they won't care. This isn't something I'm expecting above and beyond.
Simply the room was not given to us as advertised and therefore compensation should be...
Read moreLaëtitia Blanco reading your review is even more offensive as was your behaviour that day towards me and my husband. You didn't acknowledge your bad behaviour on that day nor in the reply. We had a bad stay due to your bad behaviour and we also mentioned to your front staff at the checkout. The despicable thing is you misbehaved on a pretex of a mere "water bottle" that was not asked from our end infact given by your staff. We simply asked to refill the bottle that was there in the counter. If you need to inform about the rules please mention to your staff and not customers. There is a way of informing to customers, you don't accuse them of opening cupboards and taking water bottles, you should have enquired before lecturing us about the water bottles and the cupboard. Rest we didn't see any guest choking in the lobby, I am sure if they would have know the exact reason they would be as disappointed as we were. The general feedback regarding the location was for the public who may struggle due to the Paris Strike. Nowhere mentioned from us that the strike information was not provided from your end hence please don't misquote us. Improvement comes from feedback and acknowledgement, I am sure you neither believe in both of the words. There are many previous reviews which states bad behaviour from the Happy Culture staff and I get now where the "Learnings" are from. If this is how you treat people through words (verbal and written) the Hotel may have to disassociate with the word...
Read moreIf you just want a place to crash out whilst exploring this wonderful city you cant go wrong with this hotel. Our room was spotless and everything appeared brand new and unused. The Buffet Breakfast Bar was fair and staff were friendly and helpful. If you don't care what you spend, go ahead and use premium services like internet etc., the hotel will be glad to take your cash like any other business. My advice is to watch your money and spend wisely...Paris is a very expensive place but that doesn't mean you cant have a great time. Paris is the most wonderful, romantic beautiful and exciting city and must be explored by the underground (very cheap and will get you to all the attractions efficiently on the right tickets) and by foot. Walk along the famous streets and boulevards. walk through the museums and see the famous Mona Lisa, climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Use your feet to explore and you will achieve the full 'Paris Experience' just be cautious around the attractions as bars and restaurants are exorbitantly expensive. The umbrella tabled bars are romantically magnetic, especially after a trek, but will set you back a lot of your holiday cash just for a round of drinks...just like Saint Marks Square in Venice, you will pay to sit down so beware! If you are reading this, I hope it helps and I really do wish you the best 'Paris Experience'...explore and...
