Just return from my stay here. The location is in the suburb of Boulogne Billancourt. But still connected by metro to the center of town. To keep in perspective…if you stay in the city center. Everything is 15 minutes away. Here is about 30 minutes away. The neighborhood is really lovely with plenty of restaurants but feels quite safe. Even when walking at 2 am. Public transport is all over the place. From metros to busses. Using google it’s easiest to find the best way to get to everywhere inside Paris. Downside is that it needs 1-5 travelcard and that makes it much ch more expensive than the 1-3 travelcard.
First things the name. A lot of Eiffel stuff in the interior of the hotel. But it’s not anywhere close to the Eiffel Tower or even in sight of the tower. Also Hayatt has nothing to do with Hyatt.
But the rest hotel was much better than expected. The parking spot is 5 minutes walk away. That’s a public car park from Indigo neo. Again alate night walk there is well lit. And you can enter the locked parking garage to get things out.
The hotel itself is small but quite modern. The room is well appointed. A desk and chair and also a place to hang jackets and store what clothing. Uktra tiny bathroom. You need to slip into the shower cublicle. But water is perfect. The bed is awesome. That’s the most important. I don’t think there is AC here. But perfect for all other seasons except for summer. There is good but simple continental breakfast in the morning .15€ is expensive but at 10€ pp when prebooking. It’s ok. Fresh fruit juices.
Best thing of the hotel is the staff. The receptionists are really nice and helpful. Also there is 24/7 staff even late at night. Great safety. Everyone of the staff is really nice and make you feel very welcome. A huge plus they let you use the microwave and utensils to warm up your dinner. We ordered to much at lunch and bought it back to our hotel. So awesome we were able to finish our lunch.
2nd best thing and quite luxurious is a very good coffee machine and a plethora of teas to try. This includes lots of specialities coffees and chocolate milk.
In all .. high probability we will...
Read moreTerrible customer service and business practice, the hotel manager is a crook. I stayed one night after paying in advance for 4. The minute I stepped in the room, I started to feel unwell from the overpowering cleaning chemicals used...I'm not normally a sensitive person but this was really noticeable, it was like walking into a room with open bleach. I opened the window and tried to air out the room, but that night it was so bad that I actually had an asthma attack and couldn't breathe properly. I did not sleep at all. The next morning I explained the situation and said I couldn't stay there the rest of the nights. They offered me a new room, but I explained it felt too risky, given the severity of my reaction (I'm don't want to be sent to hospital in a pandemic for breathing failure or a serious allergic reaction). They apologized and initially said it was no problem, but then I got an email from the hotel manager saying that there would be no refund - they kept my entire payment. I understand problems like this come up, and they're probably cleaning more than normal because of COVID, but it's high tourist season and I know they resold that room, making twice the rate on it. I didn't ask for anything unreasonable, just to refund the nights I couldn't stay (I should have asked for a refund on my first night's stay, given how terrible it was). DO NOT STAY here if you have any kind of sensitivity, health issue, small children or pregnant, it's not worth the risk and the hotel manager is a thug. I tried to work this out in emails but they sent one email saying no to a refund and never responded again. Just poor, terrible customer service and when there are so many other nice, accommodating places to stay in Paris, why take the risk with this place....
Read moreGreat location and right next to a parking area only 4 mins away. Which is perfect for how central the location was.
The hotel itself is clean, but much smaller than we expected. The elevator was very tight, and barely fit our stroller in it, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend going with a baby. We didn't have much in the room itself, other than a bed, TV and small coffee machine. No usual kettle/teabags/coffees etc. We were staying in the height of summer and it was 35°C. The room had a small fan, but it just moved hot air around slowly, rather than cooling the place. It ended up being much less hot outside.
The one thing that I found a bit odd about the hotel was that we had to return the hotel room key to the front desk, every time we left the hotel. I'm not sure if this is customary in France, but it did mean that we needed to show ID each time we wanted the key back to go to our room...
We only stayed one night, and it worked for what we needed. But we probably would have picked another hotel if we needed to...
