Hotel De Paris — Hotel in Boulogne-Billancourt

The receptionist seemed friendly but not! These are the paper we are given by the receptionist (looks like pieces of trash, key cover was reused from another room). There was no guiding for restaurant, check out time, anything! Especially when we checked in at around 15.30, the receptionist told us to wait because she wasn’t sure if it was ready or not. The room is in the ground floor, without air conditioning or fan. We asked for borrowing a fan and the answer was: “You should book a room with air conditioner, sorry we don’t have any fan”. (Night receptionist doesn’t speak English well, he was on his earphone when I talked to him)

There is a window in the room but the wind are blocked because of the buildings surrounding the hotel. We opened the hotel for having some air in the room because we cannot breathe.

BEDBUGS in the room – the worst hotel ever. DO NOT STAY HERE. On the very first night after checking in on Friday, my legs started itching. I suspected bedbugs, and sadly I was right. The next day, I actually found a bedbug crawling next to my pillow. Absolutely horrifying.

I complained to the reception in the middle of the night, but they just said “no spare rooms.” That’s it. I had to book another hotel myself at midnight and move immediately. They simply abandoned me to deal with their filthy problem.

The next morning, they promised the manager would come – nobody showed up. Later they told me to “come back on Monday.” I am here on business and cannot waste time chasing after them. To make matters worse, they even said they didn’t know if my existing reservation could be canceled. Ridiculous.

This hotel has ZERO cleanliness, ZERO responsibility, and ZERO concern for guest health or safety. Stay away...

Stayed at Hotel de Paris for 1 night on 30/5 mainly to watch a match at Roland Garros. Undoubtedly hotel location is perfect which is very nearby the Metro and the stadium. Hotel staff is also very friendly upon our arrival. Facilities nearby is abundant including supermarket and many nice restaurants. Hotel room is small but tidy. The bed is comfortable which offered us a good sleep after a thrilling match.

Just one thing a bit helpless is that the pre-authorization of the entire room charge (on top of the room charge I paid) is still not yet released after we check-out on 31/5 till now. As per email reply from hotel "it was due to an issue encountered by our banking institution, canceling your pre-authorization is taking longer than expected". This made me a bit worried. I wish it can be fixed ASAP while I still have good impression...
