I'm just writing this comment from another hotel, few kilometers from Kyriad. It happen that my colleague made the hotel reservation via email after a telephone call with the receptionist. The reservation was for two single rooms for tonite (july 4th) we are on a business trip and we travel a lot with a lot of nights in hotels. But never happen to me that I cannot get my room because the receptionist lost our reservation. She was very sorry but she cannot accomodate us in the room because the hotel was full and she could not found our reservation despite we showed copy of the email confirmation… So nothing to do that look for another hotel. This is not very professional and might be a problem for travellers who cannot found another...
Read moreThe hotel is some distance from the town and further from the rugby stadium further than implied on the hotel website and the bus service is inadequate and on Sunday non-existent. The hotel is situated on an industrial/retail estate with a couple of supermarkets and basic restaurants. The Kyriad was clean and comfortable enough the breakfast ok but bar facilities very limited (no wine at all). On arrival the receptionist, the only person on duty spoke little English, there were other staff at other times who spoke English well. Read moreQuiet clean rooms, complete with Tea making facilities & toiletries, very comfortable beds and fluffy towels.||Adequate parking (not secure).||Couple of restaurants/bars less than 5 min walk (avoid Sammy's Diner) situated within a shopping zone, Auchan, Lidl etc within easy reach.||We visited for a rugby week end, and although a little way out of town a free bus service is available (No1 - ask at reception).
