The hotel is situated in a prime location, as it is 3 minutes walk to the train station, and just next to the casino and amphitheater, in addition that it is close to the main roads, shops and restaurants in the Centre of Aix Les-Bains. I stayed in a newly renovated suite in the 3rd floor, excellent bedding and pillows, the shower is so lovely and the room service was great. While I was visiting a friend in the town, he booked me a massage in the 1st day there, and that was really needed after my last night flight, an excellent massage which I highly recommend if you are in the area. The spa area is another fantastic place at floor -1, and you can tell that the owner of the hotel is very innovative and clever because I have never seen anything like it before, I had so much fun there, and I also did the zero gravity pool where you laydown on the extremely salty water full of different minerals and you just float for one hour, or even have a little nap if you wish, as the lady who took me there gave me explanation about every little detail in the pool room, thank you so much. The breakfast is excellent as you have what you need and more for the day ahead, so you have sections for cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea & coffee in addition to the eggs, sausage bacon etc. I was honored to meet the owner Mr. Jean Sebastien and his lovely wife, and congratulated both of them on the success of the hotel, and turned out to be that they have another hotel and restaurant, so it is a very well deserved success which came out of long experience and hard work. Thank you to all the staff working in the hotel and I wish you all the...
Read moreIt was a wonderful experience. The price was a little hefty but I am glad I called to ask if the spa was included in the prices because some prices/rooms do not have the offer and it might be written somewhere but it's not really clear for everyone. My offer did include spa and breakfast. Breakfast was great. It did It's duty. There were eggs, breads and juices. But I am not positive that its worth 18€ per person. The breakfast girls were all very kind and sweet. Particularly the chef and the olive toned girl who was at the breakfast parlor as we were leaving. Also a very kind night shift man who helped us navigate the table game near the bar. Parking seems to be a hassle. However, we found a free parking in less than a minute. I think the weekend gods were smiling down for us... Usually we have no luck with finding parking that fast! There is also a car park that is the hotel's for 12€.My favorite part of this hotel was the spa. It was relaxing and invigorating at the same time. It was the reason I chose this hotel to begin with. We also reserved last minute and I loved the experience we had there. At around 6 pm it started to get a little too crowded. * I edited this review because upon re reading I realized that I was a little too harsh and the review did not reflect our real experience. I've lived in France too long and was simply expressing my right to "râler" ;) Thank you to all the charming hotel hosts who made our birthday...
Read moreWe had booked a room with 2 beds, unfortunately this was only organized after our arrival. |The room was comfortable, but unfortunately the beds were not. The mattresses were hard (we got back pain) and the beds were far too narrow. To open the toilet door required a "feat of strength" as the door closer is more suitable for an armored cabinet...|We wanted to relax on the sun loungers for an hour after a busy day. We were sent away as we were supposedly only allowed to use them after 6.30pm. A bit of "goodwill" would certainly be appropriate, as only one of the available sun loungers was occupied...|The breakfast was varied. But with the fruit it would be good if there was a bit more choice with the prepared fruit. There were only sliced melons. |We had problems entering the garage twice. Once a driver was able to help us with her card. The second time we had to go to the apartment building to get a new card. Why do you actually have to use the card when leaving - it's rather unusual.|We were surprised that not all the staff at reception spoke enough English as well as French.|And we didn’t find somewhere to sit in the hotel without paying for something – maybe...
